Sunday Night Toronto, Canada
Jasmine sat in the backseat of the sprinter as Bruce drove her, Aaliyah, and Deena back to the house from the airport. She was finally beginning her new job at Hilton tomorrow morning. The pregnancy news rocked her for sure but she had come to terms with it.
"Mhm. She's still sleeping. I think she's getting used to all the flying." Jasmine said into her phone
"That's good. Send me pictures." Aubrey told her, waiting for his cue to hit the stage
"I will. I know you have to go, baby. Go ahead." She told him
"I'll call you when I'm done." He said
"I'll probably be asleep. I have to be at the office at 8:30." She said
"Okay, mama. Call me when you can and I hope your first day goes well." He said
"I will and thank you, honey. Go to work. I love you." She said
"I love you more. Bye baby." He said
"Bye." She hung up
They arrived home about fifteen minutes later. Bruce brought all of the luggage inside while she and Deena brought Aaliyah in.
"I'll get her ready for bed, Mrs. Graham." Deena told her
"Thanks, Dee. I need to get ready for work. Just let me know when she's being put down so I can say goodnight." Jas told her
"Yes, ma'aam." She nodded
"I'll be here at 8 am to pick you up and take you to the office." Bruce told her as he walked out of her bedroom, where he left her luggage
"Thanks Bruce. Get home safe." She told him
He let himself out and Jasmine began picking an outfit. She opted for a gray suit because of her position as director. She wanted to be taken seriously. A few minutes before she had planned to take a shower, Deena called her in to say good night to her baby girl.
"Hi mommy's clean baby. Did you get a bath?" She smiled kissing her cheeks
Aaliyah's giggles echoed through the nursery.
"Mama loves you so much. Here smile for Dada!" She took a photo for Aubrey
Liyah couldn't help but to smile wide as the mention of her favorite person.
Jasmine quickly sent the photo and read Aaliyah a book before turning on her white noise machine. It helped soothe her to sleep.
