Regulus' pov:
It's never been harder to turn your back on the ones that you love even when they don't love you the same. I've been in love with James and lily for about 2/3 years and yet I'm just sirius' little brother that occasionally drops in. Hell they can barely remember my name half the time the only person who actually remembers my name is Remus and that's because he helps me study in the library or he offers advice on homework assignments. Not once has anyone else even spared me a glance. Voldemort's kids are coming home today for the Christmas holidays and I get the dark mark while they are here which I would love to finally meet the ones my mother speaks highly of which is rare she speaks highly of anyone. As we stood waiting for their arrival I seen a tall and broad guy step through that looked similar to James just more bulky. "Regulus this is my eldest Charles..." the dark lord stated and I bowed my head and Charles smiled at me. Then a beautiful woman stepped out with dark brown locks that reached her waist that Bellatrix ran straight into her arms kissing her cheek so I guessed that was her girlfriend. "This is my daughter Luciana..." he told me with a slight smile and I nodded and bowed my head again then the people I least wanted to see stepped out James and lily and yet I couldn't take my eyes off of them lily didn't change much but James lost his glasses and his eyes almost sparkled. "You must already know James from school he's your brothers friends is they not? Then lily who is his girlfriend" He told me and I nodded at him not wishing to look at them knowing the pain that would cause me. "Dad, can he take my mark instead he's someone I trust as Sirius already took my mark so I'd prefer the brothers on my side." James stated and the dark lord nodded which I almost growled at. This is just great not only were James and lily here James also insisted that he gave me his mark. "Follow me!" James called over his shoulder and I almost growled again but decided to follow as to not piss him off. As we stepped into a separate room further down the hall lily and James turned to me and I glared at them as I'm not afraid of them though I'm not afraid of anyone but my parents want respect from the dark lord which is why I didn't cause a scene. "So my mark is different from my fathers..." James started but I quickly shut him down. "Not a chance are you giving me anything that belongs to you I will take the dark mark or nothing." I growled at him and he looked stunned. "Oh come on regulus wouldn't you prefer my mark over the dark mark." He cheered and I continued to glare. "Why would I want anything from you? The only reason I actually followed you was because I didn't wanna cause a scene in front of my parents. But I could give a shit what you do but not a chance will I take a mark from you." I growled as I knew he was only doing this for Sirius which just pissed me off further. "Why are you acting like this I've been nothing but nice to you same with lily but yet you act cold and hostile." He complained at me and I rolled my eyes at him. "Yeah right you have done nothing for me hell half the time neither of you can remember my name the only one of Sirius' friends that I would willingly associate with is Remus." I stated coldly before turning and attempting to leave. "Why? I always try speak to you but you ignore all my attempts. Regulus I wanna get to know you." James stated in a sad tone which just made me roll my eyes. As I opened the door James brother Charles was about to knock. "Jamie I felt your sadness what's wrong?" He asked as Luciana walked in behind him. "Nothing char I just got upset of something small don't worry." James stared and Charles looked annoyed but just nodded. "Did you give him your mark?" He questioned and James shook his head. "He doesn't want anything from me as he said." James said looking down as I attempted to leave again but was thrown against a wall but Charles. "What's that mean my brother isn't good enough?" He growled and I quickly elbowed him in the jaw. "Lay a hand on me again and you will find out just how much pain I can cause to a single person." I growled at him as his eyes widened. "Are we sure he's related to Sirius as my love couldn't hurt a fly." Charles stated and I glared and pinned him to the ground. "So your the one who made my brother cry yesterday?" I growled so loud that I think the building shook and everyone looked at me shocked. "Well not intentionally Sirius just misunderstood what I meant but I cleared it up not get off me!" He shouted and I just glared at him. "Make my brother cry again and I will make sure you don't live to see tomorrow!" I growled and he nodded. "Why do you hate me?" James asked as I was walking out the door. "I never said I hated you I just think your spoilt and arrogant not to mention you think everyone loves you when really they only like you because your rich." I told him before walking out and leaving the whole building not caring about my parents reputation at this point.
