Barty x sirius

Sirius' pov:
It's been about 8 years since I was thrown in this cell which is great since I haven't gone completely insane quite yet. I don't know who is in the cell beside me but I know that he's broken just like me. I've heard him whimper on certain days that I know are most likely anniversaries of those he loves just as I do the same.
We have spoken a few times but I know it doesn't help either of us much. I like that he's there and it gives me comfort but I don't know about him.
I refuse to stay locked in a cell for much longer. I know none of the guards have checked my family history or my background because if they had I probably would have a very different cell. My creature inheritance unlocked when I was 14 which gave me the energy and strength to withstand any amount of torture. I'm a griffin shifter which is one of the strongest creatures and rarest so many people don't know its true strength.
As I waited for nightfall as it would be the best time to escape I started to break the wall between mine and his cell so that we could leave together. I knew he heard the wall start to break as I heard his panic whimpers. The wall broke enough that it was unnoticeable if someone stood at the cell door but enough that he could fit through. The minute the wall fell I smelt his scent and it was amazing. Whoever he is he's my mate and I'll get him out of here even if it's with my last breath.
Once the night hit I punched the main wall open within seconds as I didn't need to be discreet about it. I shifted once it broke and he climbed through the wall as I leaned down for him to get on my back. Once he climbed on I took off into the air at speeds that nobody could catch us not even dementors. As I neared the safe house I kept I started to slow before landing just in front of the barrier. I shifted back quickly before walking through with the mystery man that I had yet to look at.
"Thank you for helping me escape with you Sirius I guess I owe you!" I heard him say and spun to look at him in shock. There stood Barty Crouch jr the boy I used to have a massive crush on and my little brother's best friend.
"Barty I'm glad I could assist you plus I wouldn't wanna be stuck here alone," I told him with a smirk. He chuckled at my reply but I could tell he was trying not to blush.
"Sirius, why did you help me? I mean you could have saved anyone but you chose me why?" he questioned with a straight face and I could tell he was trying to figure it out. I just smiled slightly at him before chuckling.
"Well, first I wanted to help because just hearing you through the wall helped even if it was just a small amount. But once I broke the wall and your scent hit me I knew you were my mate and I would protect you no matter what." I explained with a smirk on my face causing his eyes to widen.
"No that's not possible. Your mate is Lupin you're just thinking it's me because you haven't seen him." Barty rushed out before turning to walk.
"Remus isn't my mate I've had my creature from when I left Hogwarts and Remus never had a nice scent to me it was a familial scent. Plus to me, Remus isn't attractive but you well that's always been a different story." I explained causing him to blush before walking back towards me.
"Promise me this isn't just a fling or something? Tell me that I'm really your mate please I just need that much." he pleaded hoping I was telling the truth to him and I couldn't believe he was that terrified that I was lying to him.
"Barty I've been in love with you from well from the start as even at 12 you were gorgeous so yes I promise you are my mate and no it's not just a fling," I told him which earned me a hug and kiss to the cheek.
