Wei (Y/n) woke up early in the morning, her mind filled with a sense of unease. Today, they were headed to Yiling to take control of the supervisory office there. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something might go wrong, but she pushed it aside as she prepared for the day ahead. Determined, she made her way to Jiang Yanli's room and gently knocked on the door.

"Come in," Jiang Yanli's warm voice called out, and (Y/n) entered. There she found Jiang Yanli sitting by the table, her face lighting up with a smile upon seeing (Y/n).

"A-(Y/n), come in," Jiang Yanli greeted her, and (Y/n) let out a soft sigh, taking a seat beside her. Jiang Yanli poured a cup of tea for (Y/n), who accepted it gratefully, smiling softly.

"Shijie..." (Y/n) trailed off, her voice tinged with concern. "What is it, A-(Y/n)?" Jiang Yanli asked, reaching out to hold (Y/n)'s hand. (Y/n) sighed, placing her other hand on top of Jiang Yanli's.

"I'm going to Yiling with Jiang Cheng and Second Young Master Lan," (Y/n) revealed, and sadness clouded Jiang Yanli's eyes. "I know you are a strong girl, A-(Y/n), but still, be careful," Jiang Yanli said, pulling (Y/n) into a warm hug and soothingly rubbing her back.

"I will, Shijie. But promise me to take care of yourself too," (Y/n) said, a small smile playing on her lips as she felt Jiang Yanli's nod. After bidding Jiang Yanli goodbye, (Y/n) left the room.

As Wei (Y/n) arrived at the meeting point, she greeted both Jiang Cheng and Second Childe Lan, and they returned the greeting with warm smiles. "I apologize if I made you all wait," she said, feeling a bit flustered. Jiang Cheng shook his head. "Not at all, (Y/n)-Jie. Let us be on our way," he said, and Wei (Y/n) nodded, walking beside him and Lan Wangji.

By the time they reached the Supervisory office, darkness had enveloped the surroundings. The closed doors and eerie silence sent shivers down their spines. Jiang Cheng signaled, and the disciples drew their swords, forming a protective circle around the entrance. Wei (Y/n) couldn't help but express her concern, "I feel a lot of wicked energy from inside." Both Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji nodded in agreement. "Also, there is the smell of blood," Lan Wangji added.

Without hesitation, Jiang Cheng summoned Zidian, and flung it at the door, breaking it down to allow them entry. Once inside, they were greeted by a haunting sight—dead bodies of Wen cultivators strewn everywhere. The grim scene left everyone in shock. Wei (Y/n) took charge, giving orders, "Check for any survivors," she commanded, and the disciples nodded, diligently searching for any signs of life.

As Wei (Y/n) went forward, she knelt beside one of the lifeless Wen cultivators, using the hilt of Jù Lóng to gently turn his head. The sight was gruesome—his neck had been brutally slit, and there were stab wounds on his chest. Wei (Y/n) stood up, sighing heavily. "This one died bleeding from all holes in the head," Jiang Cheng noted with a shake of his head. However, Lan Wangji pointed out another body that seemed peculiar. "This one's death wasn't caused by wounds; he might have been poisoned," he stated, examining the cultivator who bore no visible marks of injury.

Wei (Y/n) surveyed the scene, noticing the diversity of deaths among the Wen cultivators. "Same here. This one's neck was slit after being stabbed in the chest multiple times," she reported. "All of them seem to have died differently," she added, looking at Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji, who nodded in agreement.

Just then, a Jiang disciple rushed to them, delivering distressing news. "Sect Leader, there are no survivors, and we found a woman who hanged herself in one of the rooms." Jiang Cheng's face darkened with sorrow as he nodded to the disciple. Wei (Y/n) wasted no time, "Search further—inside and outside the building—for any hostages or prisoners," she commanded, her determination unwavering. The disciple bowed and hurried away to carry out her orders.
