Wei (Y/n) stood frozen then shook her head rapidly turning to face Lan Xichen with teary eyes. "Lan Huan! Don't lie! Don't!" She yelled crying and the male only sadly sighed moving closer to her.
He placed his hands on her shoulder but she pushed him away slightly. "Lan Huan this isn't funny! You can't joke about something like this!" She cried and the male shook his head, pulling her in his arms.
"I wouldn't dare say something if it didn't happen." He said softly but she pulled back fisting the front of his robes. "Wei Ying can't do that !! He wouldn't! He can't see Shijie sad!" She shook him slightly tears rolling down her face.
He raised his hand to gently brush away the tears. "I'm really sorry A-(Y/n).." She broke down in his arms crying hysterically, hitting his chest telling him that all of it was a lie.
She pulled back suddenly. "I'm going.. Wei Ying.. He needs me.." She said hurrying to go out when the male held her by the arm.
"Let go Lan Huan! I have to go!!" She tried to pull away but he shook his head. "Snap out of it A-(Y/n)! What happened can't be changed. Look at your health and A-Xin is just a baby! How can you leave when conditions are as this?!" He raised his voice as well, making the female stop.
He had never talked to her harshly, much less raise his voice on her. "A-Huan--" "No. You stay here.. Once you're healthy enough I'll take you myself to see Lady Jiang and Brother-In-Law" He said sternly.
He didn't want his wife getting hurt, she was far too precious to him. And Zhixin, their son was just a two weeks old baby. He didn't want anything bad to happen. His reasons were valid for his reaction.
But her world was tearing down. Her twin brother was being accused of murder. And of their brother-in-law. She knew he didn't do it. He could never kill him. No matter that the three of them-Wei (Y/n), Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng- didn't like the peacock, Wei Ying would never steal his Shijie's happiness.
She staggered back, all this emotional drain too much for her. Lan Xichen was quick to hold her when she fell back unconscious like a withering leaf. Lan Xichen frowned and picked her up taking her inside.
When he was inside he saw Lan Lifen and put on a smile as to not worry her. He laid Wei (Y/n) softly on the bed covering her with the blanket. "Is Māma alright?" Lifen asked worried and came next to him.
"She's fine A-Fen, just tired." He smiled patting her head before turning to the crib. "A-Xin is asleep?" He asked and the girl nodded with a smile. "Xin-Dì fell asleep quickly after Māma played flute for us!" She informed her father and he nodded with a smile.
"Let's go to my study and leave them to rest." He smiled motioning her to follow as he began to walk out. His heart heavy as he thought of the pain his wife was going through. But he didn't let the smile on his face falter as he led his daughter to the study.

Wei (Y/n) woke up to Zhixin's crying. She sat up not remembering what happened and raised a hand to her head. She stood up and went to the crib, picking up Zhixin. She rocked him gently "There there.. Don't cry Xin'er. " She hummed as she sat down on the bed, knowing he might be hungry, she fed him.
After a while someone knocked on the door and she granted permission to enter. "Madame Lan. Here's your dinner." It was Lan Meizhen who had come.
Wei (Y/n) looked up from her son, "Where's Sect Leader Lan?" She asked and the female shook her head. "I do not know. Sect Leader didn't inform." Lan MeiZhen bowed her head slightly.
Wei (Y/n) sensed that something was wrong. As the younger female's eyes dilated slightly, she looked down. "Lan MeiZhen where is your sect Leader?" She asked again, her voice holding slight authority and her gaze demanding.
