Lan Xichen looked confused by the sudden appearance of Wei (Y/n). The female stood there in front of him with her eyes wavering at his condition, which was most likely caused by her outburst.

He tilted his head slightly as if silently questioning her arrival. She took a shaky breath before she spoke "A-Huan..I.. I'm Sorry..." She whispered clenching her hands and looking down as tears threatened to leak out of her eyes.

Lan Xichen was stunned at her words. She came because she felt this much guilty? He smiled lightly, Sure he was hurt when he yelled at him. And he left her alone for the time being. But as much he thought about it, her reaction wasn't a surprise. He stood up and walked to her with hurried steps immediately pulling her in his arms.

"Its Alright A-(Y/n).." He said softly rubbing her back and the female's eyes widened as she pulled out of his embrace. "How can you forgive me like this? I said so many awful things to you! Aren't you mad--" He cut of by kissing her softly. Her body was trapped as Lan Xichen put an arm on the wall behind her, his other hand resting on her cheek tilting her head intending to deepen the kiss.

He pulled back lightly as he wiped the tears on her cheeks with his thumb. "A-(Y/n)... My life was never like yours and I can never feel the pain you must've gone through.. But what I can do is try to help you cope your burden. Be with you for the rest of our lives and be the support you can always lean on... I have vowed to protect you and I will honor it." He said softly.

Wei (Y/n) looked in his eyes, the lovely pools of brown she could get lost in and never complain. Her body reacted on her own and she placed her lips on his, her arms going around his neck as his found their way around her waist. 

Lan Xichen bit her lip and the female obliged opening her mouth and granting him entrance. Lan Xichen explored her mouth and the female couldn't hold the voice that came out due to the action.

Lan Xichen smirked lightly at this and pushed her back against the wall as he began to trail kisses to her jaw and down to her neck. He pulled the collar of her hanfu loosening it and exposing her shoulder.

He kissed over her neck softly and (Y/n) sucked a breath as he kissed a certain spot. Lan Xichen raised his eyebrows but smirked against her skin sucking the same spot. (Y/n) bit her tounge to stop any noise but in vain. She moaned lightly and Xichen pulled back looking at her flushed face. 

He smiled at her and kissed her on the lips softly before pulling back and straightening her collar. "As much as I would like to continue... There are rules that cannot be broken.." He said with a sigh caressing her red cheek softly. Wei (Y/n) still trying to catch her breath nodded as he led her to sit down.

He sat next to her on the bed as he entwined their hands together and rubbed the back of her hands with his thumb. She laid her head on his shoulder closing her eyes. "I could just stay here forever and never care about anything else.." She whispered and Lan Xichen smiled kissing the top of her head. "You will... Just let us get married and then I promise you won't have to..." He said making the female smile.

"Shijie's marriage has been arranged.. Two months from now.." She informed and the male nodded. "Should I talk with uncle?" He asked suddenly and the female raised her head looking at him.

"About what?" "For our marriage date.." His calm answer made her blush all over again. "A-Huan!" She whisper yelled and he laughed lightly wrapping his arms around her while still sitting.

"Don't you want to get married?" He asked and Wei (Y/n) sighed. "Who says I don't? Its just that Shijie's marriage preparations would be starting and--" She was cut off by him. "We can have a joined wedding." He proposed and She sighed.

"Why are you so impatient for us getting married?" She asked and he smiled. "Can you blame me for being impatient? After all the love of my life will be becoming My wife." He said resting his head on her shoulder making the female clear her throat in embarrassment.

"A-Huan... I have to leave.." She spoke after a long pause of silence. "Why? You can always stay here.." He tried to make her stay and (Y/n) chuckled at his words. "No one even knows I'm here, If they decide to come by my room and find me gone.. Who knows what Madame Yu will do." She said and he sighed reluctantly letting go of her. 

Lan Xichen stood up as she did and pulled her in his embrace again. "Just remember, I will always be there.. Just don't try to push me away." He said making the female sigh and return the hug. "I can't promise... But If I end up doing something wrong--" "I'll still be there standing by your side.." He cut her off gently kissing the top of her head and allowing her to separate.

She pulled out the Talisman and before activating it she smiled at Lan Xichen. "I'll see you again soon A-Huan."  Afterwards she disappeared in the blue light leaving Lan Xichen alone in the Hanshi. He smiled lightly. "Yes.. See you soon my love.." He whispered before going to sit behind the table and reading over the documents in front of him with his thoughts revolving around his Fiancée.

Wei (Y/n) stumbled as she appeared back in her room. Ah.. I think my spiritual energy is about to run out. She made her way to her bed with shaking steps and sat down in a meditative pose. She closed her eyes and began to take deep breaths soon becoming detached and feeling her spiritual power returning. 

She was broken out of her trance by knocking on the door. She sighed as she opened her eyes. "Yes?" She asked and heard MianMian speak. "Lady (Y/n) dinner is ready. Madame Yu asks for your presence." Wei (Y/n) sighed and nodded. "Alright. I'll be there." She told her and MianMian left nodding. Wei (Y/n) stood up with slight wavering in her step but managed to mask it as she walked to the hall where they ate dinner.

When she arrived there Wei Lifen was the first to run to her and hug her legs. "Māma! Where were you?" She questioned and Wei (Y/n) smiled picking her up and kissing her cheek. "I was resting A-Fen." She answered as she took her seat next to Jiang Yanli. She greeted her family members and allowed Lifen to go and sit on her own seat. 

"A-(Y/n) do you feel alright? Your face looks Like you're really tired." Madame Yu asked worried and she nodded with a slight smile. "The headache hasn't passed completely I think that's why." (Y/n) answered and Madame Yu frowned motioning Yinzhu to go and fetch some herbal tea. "Oh.. Congratulations Shijie! I'm happy for you." (Y/n) smiled and Jiang Yanli blushed lightly while smiling. 

"Mother I had something to say.." Jiang Cheng said hesitantly and Madame Yu nodded for him to continue. ".. Today when we went to burial mounds, we saw dozens of old and young people.. They were in really a poor state.. So I was thinking that maybe we could allow them to live in Yunmeng?" He finished his sentence nervously like a question under the gaze of his mother and Madame Yu looked at Wei (Y/n) who seemed to be agreeing with what her sworn brother was saying.  

"That's a risky move A-Cheng.. But what you say, they were all weak and old?" At her question both Jiang Cheng and Wei (Y/n) nodded, "Some of them were young but they didn't look like they have ever started practicing cultivation." Wei (Y/n) said and Madame Yu nodded. "Alright. But before deciding both of you should ask Wei Ying what he thinks about it and consult the people in question whether they want to live here or not." Madame Yu said and she picked up her chopsticks. "Now eat before it gets cold." At her words they all nodded and began to eat.

"A-(Y/n) I was thinking.." Madame Yu said once they began to eat. "Yes?" The girl questioned and the elder smiled at her. "Since A-Li's marriage is already fixed I was thinking of consulting Elder Lan for your and Lan Xichen's marriage as well. What do you think?" At her words the girl choked making her family members stare at her with worry.

She picked up the tea that Yinzhu had put in front of her and took a sip soothing her throat. "I... IIf Madame Yu think it's the time than I do not mind at all.." She answered with a blush and Madame Yu smiled. "Very Well then."
