All the able cultivars of the four main sects had gathered. Wei (Y/n) stood on the left with Lan Xichen, Jiang Yanli, Wei Ying, Jiang Cheng, and Lan Wangji. Opposite them stood Nie Huaisang, Jin Zixuan, and Jin Zixun, who had a scowl on his face. Nie Mingjue stood atop the stairs. His voice was loud as he addressed the cultivars that assembled.

"Wen Ruohan of Qishan, as His Excellency is intended to seize the gentry greedily," Nie Mingjue proclaimed. "He forged Yin Iron secretly and killed the innocents crucially. He ordered Wen Xu, Wen Chao, and his people to commit countless crimes which bring frightful distress to our clans. So the world is filled with anger..." He paused briefly to unravel Baxia and held it in his hand. "Today, I, Nie Mingjue of Qinghe, lead an Army to suppress Wen Ruohan. We'll storm into Nevernight and have his head to sacrifice for the souls of the deceased!"He completed his speech with his booming voice, sending the disciples chanting 'Sunshot' over and over.

"Let's go!" Nie Mingjue ordered, and the disciples parted, making a path for him and the others. He was followed by both of the Jin cousins and his younger brother. Lan Xichen also followed him after sending a small smile to Wei (Y/n). Wei (Y/n) turned towards her older sister. "We will go first. We'll wait for you at Qishan," she said, her voice soft but face devoid of emotion.

She didn't want to smile because she knew what was about to happen next would be anything but cheerful; after all, they were entering a battlefield. There would be blood, gore, losses, and deaths. Jiang Yanli nodded with a slight smile. Wei (Y/n) shared a subtle nod with Jiang Cheng and glanced at Wei Ying for a split second before continuing on her path. She could hear Jiang Cheng talking to Wei Ying. Her grip on her sword tightened, and her heart clenched as she walked away from her brother.

"Stay safe," Wei (Y/n) whispered to herself. "I'll come after you if you die..."

Wei (Y/n) scowled as she slashed a puppet, watching it fall backward with a thud. She flicked Jù Lóng to remove the bloodstains from the blade, then turned just in time to face another advancing puppet. With a swift motion, she plunged Jù Lóng into its chest, causing it to freeze in place, a blade suspended in the air just above her head. Retrieving her sword, she took a moment to survey the battlefield.

The other fighters seemed to be holding their own. However, her focus was abruptly interrupted when she felt a sting on her arm. Glancing down, she discovered a cut on her upper arm. She furrowed her brow and was about to heal it when Jiang Cheng shouted.

"(Y/n)-Jie! Look out!" Jiang Cheng's voice rang out, causing Wei (Y/n) to widen her eyes. Before she could fully comprehend the situation, a flash of purple lightning illuminated the area, followed by a resounding thud from behind her.

"Are you alright?" Jiang Cheng asked, concern evident in his voice. Wei (Y/n) nodded, expressing her gratitude. Gripping Jù Lóng firmly, she rejoined the fight. The puppets fought with increased ferocity, and the disciples struggled to defend themselves. She swiftly decapitated the puppet she had been engaging before rushing to aid the Jiang disciples, given their shared sect affiliation.

As Wei (Y/n) quickly dispatched the puppets, she ushered the injured Jiang and Jin disciples to safety. "Jiang Cheng, hold them off for a few minutes. I'll attend to the wounded," she said, to which he nodded. She glanced at the injured disciples, aware of their large numbers and the impracticality of individually healing them. Sighing, she sheathed Jù Lóng and retrieved Yì Jūn.

"Do not worry. I cannot heal each of you individually, so this is the best option," she explained in a monotonous tone. Placing the flute to her lips and closing her eyes, she began to play a soothing melody, channeling her healing abilities through the music.
