The purple shades in Lotus cove seemed to dim out due to the red decorations that were hung around everywhere. Flowers of red with different shades and the drapes of red with assents of gold looked magnificent. Madame Yu had spared nothing to make it as much as grand as Jiang Yanli's wedding which took place two weeks ago.

Jiang Yanli herself had come to Yunmeng due to the joyous occasion, she had been ecstatic to prepare her sister as a bride. Jin Zixuan came as well but was more reserved as both Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng were calculating his every move.

On Jiang Yanli's wedding Wei Ying couldn't attend as the Jin Clan leader was not going to allow any 'bad luck' to befall the new couple. No matter How much Madame Yu, Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli had tried to persuade him to come he didn't attend and only hoped the best for his Senior sister.

However, Lan Qiren was alright with it as his Niece-In-Law had discussed with him that she would want her only blood relative to be there on her wedding day. And so her brother was there, testing the new wines and greeting his junior disciples he came across.

Xiao Xingchen entered Lotus Cove with a soft smile. He could hear the whole atmosphere be jovial. It was his Junior sister's Marriage and he couldn't help but feel proud of the Lady his little firefly had become. He was greeted by cheerful voice.

"Oh! Brother Xiao! I haven't seen you for long!" Wei Ying called as he neared the male. "Childe Wei." Both of them exchanged salutes and Wei Ying smiled understanding the motive of his visit. "(Y/n) is in the main hall.. Come I'll take you to her!" He said as he took the males hand pulling him inside. Xiao Xingchen could sense that Wei Ying himself seemed very happy for his sister.

"(Y/n)! Look who has come!" He called when he entered and his sister sighed. "Who is it--" She cut herself off when she saw her Older brother. "Big Brother!" She said surprised and the male smiled. "Congratulations A-(Y/n)." Xiao Xingchen said smiling and she smiled as well. "I didn't know you were coming!" She exclaimed and went near him. He pat her head, and felt it to be more decorated than the last time. Of course it was her wedding. "How could I miss my Little Sister's wedding?" He asked and she chuckled lightly.

"Come.. Let's go." She said and turned to Yanli. "Shijie I'll be back in a while!" She informed and her sister nodded. "Alright." The older replied and Wei (Y/n) led her brother to a much quieter part, behind the main residence. After both of them had sat down Xiao Xingchen spoke up first. "I'm very Happy for you A-(Y/n)... I hope your life is full of blessings and of happiness." He said sincerely and she smiled a little sadly.

Xiao Xingchen pulled out a box and placed it infront of her. She opened it and gasped taking out the beautiful bangle. She wondered how he bought such a pretty gift but smiled nonetheless. "I wish there was something more I could give you but Your Big Brother isn't capable of that.. Forgive me." He said sighing and Wei (Y/n) sighed taking his hand. "I don't need any expensive gifts from Big Brother.. As long as you are here on my wedding I have all that I wished for." She smiled and Xingchen chuckled.

"My Little Firefly has grown up now." He comment making the girl blush at the old nickname. "Big Brother!" She whined softly making him laugh. A white pigeon flew over to them both and a small white package was dropped in her lap. She looked confused but opened it nonetheless. Inside was a small note and two beautifully designed gold hairpins.

'My dearest child,

I am so very happy to know that you're getting married. I wish I could be there to see you in your wedding attire but sadly I cannot. This is a small gift from me to you. I hope that you and your husband have a happy life. A-(Y/n) remember this, be honest to your husband and be with him every step of the way. Be his support and allow him to be yours. And Of course I hope that I have Grandchildren too. Congratulations my dear.. Your parents would have been proud.
