Two months passed in the blink of an eye, and Wei (Y/n) and Lan Xichen continued to visit Qinghe Once every week.
Nie Mingjue's state was much more stable than before. This of course was a great relief to his younger siblings.
Wei (Y/n) woke up with a headache. She had not experienced a headache like this since she woke from her coma. She sat leaning against the head post of the bed with a sigh and closed her eyes. Xichen woke up as well and looked at his wife with slight worry. He sat and softly placed a hand on her forehead.
"Is everything fine?" he asked softly and she hummed opening her eyes slightly. "My head hurts as if it was going to explode." she gave a slight chuckle and he shook his head.
"Let's go to the healers now." he began to stand and she stopped him with a fond smile. "A-Huan it's barely morning. It'll go away soon." She assured but Lan Xichen was not having any of the excuses.
"At least let me make you some tea." he got up and softly pecked her forehead. She knew she would never win an argument with Xichen if the topic was her well-being, so she gave a soft smile and nodded.
"We have to visit Qinghe today as well," she said as the male prepared tea for her. "You'll Remain here." he didn't let her finish.
She sighed, "I do not doubt you in any way A-Huan. But it will be more effective if both of us perform it together."
"I can take Wangji." he countered as he sat in front of her and handed her the tea. She took it and gave him a small smile.
"A-Huan... It's just a mere headache and I will be fine," she said softly. "Besides, Wangji has to go with the juniors."
"It's alright. I can go alone," he assured and she sighed. "You won't let me leave here, will you?" she asked and the male gave a small smile, "No."
She sipped the tea and felt her headache ease for a moment. She hummed and looked up.
"What about Lianfang-Zun?" She asked with a soft smile. "you told me you taught him to play the qin."
"I did." Xichen smiled and nodded, "I will write a letter to him. Since it's for Da-Ge he will surely come."
"He will. He cares deeply for his sworn brothers." she smiled and nodded, "However... If he cannot come I will go with you myself." she finished the tea and held the cup in her hand.
"A-(Y/n)..." Xichen shook his head but agreed. "..Alright. Only if he declines." he gently took the cup and placed it on the table.
"Sleep for a little while more." he kissed her head softly and helped her down. She softly kissed his cheek when he leaned down and smiled, "Mn.."
Xichen covered her with a blanket and decided to start early in the day. Wei (Y/n) was soon sleeping as the tea did very well in calming her down.
---
Jin Guangyao held Lan Xichen's letter with a slight frown but sighed and agreed to the request.
He wrote a quick reply to Lan Xichen and smiled lightly before going to prepare for the visit to Qinghe.
---
Lan Xichen smiled relieved as he received Jin Guangyao's reply. Going out to the garden where Wei (Y/n) sat with Lan Zhixin.
"A-Yao agreed so as we decided..." he smiled and sat next to her on the bench. "You'll stay home," he said kissing her temple.
She nodded and smiled. "Whatever eases my husband's worries." He let out an airy laugh and picked up their son. "Come I'll lead you inside." he held out his hand and the female took his hand.
"Take care and rest for today. No work." he chided as he let go of her hand. For a moment she felt her head spinning and took a breath, holding his arm to keep standing.
"A-(Y/n)??" He hurried to help her lie down, "I'll get the healers."
"No no. It's alright." She insisted, "You should get ready to leave. I'll visit the healers myself." she said softly and sat up extending her hands to take Zhixin but he shook his head.
"with Baba..." he mumbled holding his robes and she chuckled at his words. "You want to visit Uncle Sang?" she asked and the child nodded happily.
"Mnh!" he grinned and she smiled nodding. "Alright. Don't trouble Your Baba or Uncle Sang..Okay?" She asked softly and he nodded enthusiastically.
"Come hug Mama before leaving." she extended her hands and this time he went to her and hugged her tightly.
"Xin'er loves Mama..." he said softly and she smiled. "Mama loves her Xin'er too... So much." she softly kissed his head and he smiled before kissing her cheek too. He smiled and extended his hands to Xichen who chuckled and picked him up.
"Please visit Lady Yin. I worry," he said softly and leaned to place a soft kiss on her forehead. "I will, I promise you," she assured him again with a smile and nodded.
"Bye Bye Mama!" Zhixin called waving his hand and she let out a small laugh waving as well. "Bye Bye Xin'er."
After they left she laid back on the bed. This feeling was all too familiar but she couldn't put a finger on it. A fever? No. It was something else. She closed her eyes and decided to visit Lady Yin in a few moments but she soon fell into a light sleep.
--
"Xichen..." Mingjue greeted the male with a smile and pat Zhixin's head. "Where's A-(Y/n)?" He asked and Xichen sighed. "She wasn't feeling too well so I had her stay back. I also called A-Yao to assist me in her place." Xichen said and Mingjue's eyebrow twitched, but he sighed.
He trusted Xichen and (Y/n)'s decisions. "Let us go in. He will be here soon then." Mingjue gestured inside.
---
"...what?.." Wei (Y/n) blankly stared at the elder, "Really ?" she whispered, and when she received a nod from her she beamed standing and thanked the female.
"Congratulations. But it seems your body is very weak this time. Take this." She handed Wei (Y/n) a small box. "Take these at least once every day. It will help." she patted her hand softly.
"Be careful." The elder told as the female left.
Wei (Y/n) headed straight to her room, she almost squealed as she closed the door. She calmed herself mumbling. "...How very unladylike of me.." she murmured with a smile and sat down beside the table.
"Hurry back A-Huan... I have special news for you..." She took a book to read as she awaited her dear husband's arrival.
