Both Wei (Y/n) and Xiao Xingchen talked while Lifen sat with them observing the exchange with a smile, occasionally asking some questions about their Master and training sessions. Xiao Xingchen told Lifen about her mother and Wei (Y/n) laughed lightly embarrassed at her 'stories'.

"It's getting late, I think we should be going if we want to reach Gusu before nightfall." Wei (Y/n) said and Xiao Xingchen nodded. "That will be for the best." He said and they all stood up. "Big Brother...Will I meet you again?" Wei (Y/n) asked and Xiao Xingchen smiled. Her question reminded me of the day he left Celestial Mountain. "This is not farewell A-(Y/n)..." Xiao Xingchen said and (Y/n)'s eyes widened.

These were the words she had spoken to him when he left the Celestial Mountain. "If it is our fate we will meet again." She replied with a shaky voice and Xingchen nodded. "We will." He turned to Wei Lifen and smiled softly patting her head. "It was a pleasure to meet you A-Fen.." He said and Lifen held his hand.

"Uncle, why don't you come to Lotus Cove? You can meet Grandma, Uncle Ying, and Uncle Cheng. Auntie makes the most delicious soup! You'll really enjoy it!" Lifen exclaimed and Xiao Xingchen smiled. "I'll hold on to your offer A-Fen... Maybe I'll visit sometime." He answered her softly and Wei Lifen pouted nodding her head and letting go of his hand.

Xiao Xingchen moved forward and put his hand on Wei (Y/n)'s head patting it lightly much like he used to when she was young. "I wish you all the best A-(Y/n). I hope you get what you wish for." He said and (Y/n) nodded. "Please take of yourself, Big Brother." They walked out of the inn and faced each other.

"Good Bye Uncle," Lifen mumbled and Xiao Xingchen smiled addressing her. "Good Bye A-Fen.Take care of your mother for me." He said and Lifen nodded. "I will!"

"That's good to know," Xingchen said and turned to (Y/n), both of them saluted each other. They parted ways reluctantly, (Y/n) stared at his back for a moment before turning around and holding Lifen's hand.

"Let's go A-Fen." She said softly and began to lead Lifen on the way they were going before. "Māma?" Lifen called her after a while and (Y/n) hummed. "When will we reach there?" She asked and Wei (Y/n) smiled, knowing fully well how much Lifen was anxious to see Cloud Recesses. "We'll be there soon." Wei (Y/n) answered.

Wei (Y/n) could see the entrance of Cloud Recesses. The scenery was still as pleasant and comforting as it was the first time she came here. The sun had disappeared and the sky was beginning to darken casting dark shades making the entire scene look more tranquil. (Y/n) closed her eyes taking a breath. Lifen beside her looked around the serene environment with wide eyes and awe visible on her face. "It's so pretty!" She exclaimed and Wei (Y/n) chuckled nodding her head.

"Come now, we don't just want to stand out here.." She spoke lightheartedly and led Lifen to the entrance. The two young disciples on seeing her saluted immediately, "Welcome Hexia-zun." They spoke in synchronization and Wei (Y/n) nodded. "Māma they have forehead ribbons like Zewu-Jun too!" Lifen said making both the disciples look at her shocked. Did she just call Hexia-zun mother? Was the thought running in their minds.

Wei (Y/n) chuckled lightly and looked at the disciples, who snapped out of their thoughts and one of them spoke up "Please this way Hexia-zun, Zewu-Jun awaits your arrival." He began to lead (Y/n) inside. Wei Lifen walked alongside her mother occasionally stopping to look around and then following (Y/n). When they reached the main hall the disciple went inside followed by Wei (Y/n) and Wei Lifen.

The disciple saluted both sitting males, "Hexia-zun has arrived." He informed and Lan Xichen nodded dismissing the disciple. Wei (Y/n) greeted both of them "Elder Lan, Zewu-Jun." She greeted and Lifen looked at her before following her example. Lan Xichen stood and returned the salute while Lan Qiren nodded, looking at Lifen with calculating eyes.
