Jiang Cheng and Wei (Y/n) returned to where they had asked the disciples to stay and mounted their horses. "What did he say about Wen Ning?" Wei (Y/n) questioned once they were a little far from from Yiling. "He says he's trying to call his consciousness back." (Y/n) nodded to his words."There were so many weak and old people there.. I can't imagine what the Jin clan was putting them through." She sighed and Jiang Cheng nodded. "I was thinking.. What if we allow those people to live in Yunmeng..." He said with a thinking face and Wei (Y/n) looked at him. "That's a risky move.. We have to plan it out slowly.." She said and he nodded to her words. "We should discuss it with mother and then take necessary steps." He said and Wei (Y/n) nodded.
"Speaking of Mother.. She sent an acceptance letter to Lanling Jin for the proposal for A-Jie's marriage the day before yesterday.. I forgot to tell.." He said a little guilty but she smiled. "Its fine Jiang Cheng. As long as Shijie's happy." She smiled lightly at him and he returned it. "You never answered me... What's between you and Lady Wen?" She asked raising an eyebrow making her sworn brother red.
"N-nothing." He stuttered making the female raise a brow. "Don't play me for a fool A-Cheng... I sensed there was some--" She was cut off when he spoke softly. "I-I l-like her..." He said looking away and she smiled brightly. "If that's the case.. Your Da-Jie will help the best she can!" She encouraged him making him smile and nod wile blushing at her words.
The remaining time they rode back in silence, the only noise being that of the horse's hooves and the disciples mummers.
"Why do I feel something is going on here?" Wei (Y/n) asked as she jumped of XueHua in front of Lotus Cove. Jiang Cheng following her and holding the reins of his horse. "I do not know." He motioned a disciple and handed him the reins of his horse. Wei (Y/n) pat XueHua before handing the reins to the disciple.
Both the siblings walked inside and Jinzhu who seemed to waiting for both of them to come back greeted them. "Sect Leader, Hexia-zun. I was instructed by Madame Yu to inform you that Madame Jin and Jin Zixuan have arrived. You should not mention anything about your visit to Yiling." She said saluting and both of them shared a glance nodding in understanding. "Where are they?" Wei (Y/n) asked and Jinzhu replied. "In the main hall. Please excuse me.. I have to look after some matters." She saluted again before leaving.
Wei (Y/n) sighed. "Let's get this over with.." Jiang Cheng nodded and went inside Wei (Y/n) following him. When they reached the hall all eyes turned to them. Jiang Cheng greeted the elders before sitting down at the main seat. (Y/n) greeted them as well and shared a smile with Jiang Yanli before she sat next to Madame Yu on the seat next to Jiang Cheng's.
"Where did Sect Leader Jiang and Hexia-zun go?" Madame Jin asked with a smile and Jiang Cheng forced a smile. "To look after some matters in the village to the east." He answered and Madame Jin nodded. "Now that A-Cheng and A-(Y/n) are here we can discuss this matter." Madame Yu said picking up her tea cup.
"What matter?" Jiang Cheng raised a on eyebrow making Madame Jin laugh. "The marriage of A-Li and A-Xuan Of course!" She said and Wei (Y/n) looked shocked at Madame Yu. "Marriage?" She asked and the older woman nodded. (Y/n) then looked passed her to her sister and found her blushing while looking down at her lap.
"I think two months from will be the perfect time! The weather will be pleasant." Madame Yu said and Madame Jin nodded. "I agree! We can set on a date..." Wei (Y/n) zoned out from the conversation as her thoughts wandered to her Fiance. She felt really bad about bursting up on him. What could she do now? Was he angry? Of Course he was! Or At least that's what she thought. He was trying to help and in return received the backlash of her pent up emotions.
She was so caught up in her thoughts that she almost missed Madame Yu calling to her. "A-(Y/n).. Are you alright?" She asked putting a hand on her shoulder. She blinked and nodded. "I was feeling lightheaded that's all." She answered softly and Madame Yu frowned. "You should go rest. The discussion is over anyways." She said with a slight smile at the end and Wei (Y/n) nodded. Ended? That means they finalized the date? She thought but didn't say anything as she stood up and began to walk out of the hall and to her room.
After she was inside she locked the door and sighed. I really need to talk to Xichen or I'll loose my mind! She looked around her room for a teleportation Talisman and sighed with relief when she found three of them. I'll just visit him... I have enough energy for using it twice.. She thought before putting the Talisman on the floor and concentrating on the vision of Gusu. The Talisman glowed blue and she stepped inside re-appearing near the entrance of Cloud Recesses.
She looked around the familiar scenery and smiled with content. She began to walk to the entrance and the disciples greeted her immediately after seeing her. They allowed her entry and she nodded at them. She began to walk towards the Lanshi where Elder Lan usually sat. Once she was there she sighed with relief that no one else was inside. She knocked on the door and the older male looked up. "Ah!.. Lady Wei Come inside." He motioned her inside and she saluted him once she was near enough.
"Greetings to Elder Lan." He dismissed her and offered her to sit down which she politely declined. "I'm here to discuss something with Sect Leader Lan.." She said and he smiled knowingly. "Ahh.. Lan Huan is in the Hanshi. You can meet him there." He informed the female who smiled and saluted him again before leaving.
Now that was a mistake. She should've asked him where the Hanshi was. Well she could just wander around and enjoy the scenery of the setting sun couldn't she? She was walking aimlessly when she bumped into her future Brother in Law.
"HanGuang-Jun" "Hexia-zun" Both of them exchanged greetings and Wangji looked at her confused. "I wasn't aware Hexia-zun would be visiting." He said confused and Wei (Y/n) smiled. "I had something important to discuss with Lan Xichen so I visited without informing.." She said and the male nodded in understanding.
"Brother is in the Hanshi. I will lead you there." He said with a small smile and she smiled as well. "Thank You." Both of them began to walk in silence which was broken by Lan Wangji. "Do you know Wei Ying's current condition?" He asked and Wei (Y/n) could sense the worry and pain in his voice.
"Mn. Me and Jiang Cheng went to visit him today. He is well." She answered and he looked at her. "Where did he go to?" He asked and she answered. "Yiling, Burial Mounds." His eyes widened slightly but he chose not to say anything else. He stopped in front of the Hanshi and motioned towards it. "Brother is inside. I will leave first." He said and both of them exchanged salutes before Lan Wangji left.
Wei (Y/n) took a deep breath and walked up to the door and knocked on it softly. "Come in.." She could hear a tired voice and her heart clenched. She slowly opened the door and stepped inside closing the door behind her. The Sect Leader looked up and his eyes widened seeing his Fiancee standing there. "A-(Y/n)?" He asked confused the hurt still visible from his voice.
