Lan Xichen sighed as he put down the scroll. He looked at the heaps of papers laying on his desk. He had missed working for two weeks and the letters and scrolls had piled up for him. In normal situations he would have continued to work until he finished but now there was a slight change. He had a wife waiting for him.

He ran his eyes across the table and sighed picking up the brush. The earlier I finish the more time I have to spend with A-(Y/n).

His wife however, sat with Lan Qiren in the Lanshi. Both were sipping tea which Wei (Y/n) had brewed. "Uncle.. I was thinking.." She said putting down the cup and the elder nodded for her to continue. "I would like to take a few disciples under my wing. I want to pass on what my Master has taught me." She said and Lan Qiren stayed quiet for a moment but nodded.

"That is good. But you shouldn't take..." "..apprentices excessively nor should I pass to ordinary people." She finished for him with a chuckle and he nodded.

"That's right.. Tomorrow morning after the classes I will have you access them and take few under your wing. But they will continue other studies as the same." He said with a small smile and she nodded bowing her head lightly.

"Thank You Uncle." She said and he nodded. "Where's Lan Lifen?" Lan Qiren asked and she smiled taking a sip of her tea. "With her uncle. She's memorizing the rules. I've never seen her this concentrated before." She said and Lan Qiren hummed.

"That's good. She should learn them; she is a Lan after all." He said and the woman smiled nodding. She stood up gracefully and bowed to Lan Qiren. "I will be going now." She said and he nodded with a smile. She took the tray she had brought inside and walked out.

She went to the kitchen and began to make some more tea for her husband. After she had made tea, she made some light snacks for him as well. Now that they were finished, she arranged them on the tray and walked towards the Hanshi, where she knew he would be working still. He had been trying to finish the work to the point she had to drag him out to eat or relax for sometime.

She smiled as she saw him. He was so concentrated on his work that he hadn't even noticed her coming inside. She placed the tray on the table which was on the side and the male looked up at the sound. "Husband seems to be tired. I made some tea." She smiled and the male smiled as well, putting away the brush so it didn't taint any of the papers with the ink. He stood up and walked to her pulling her close and kissing her forehead.

"My Wife seems to be worried." He said resting a hand on her face. "I just worry that Husband is pushing himself too much." She said and placed a hand on top of his. "I am not. I just want to finish up early so we have more time to spend together." At his words she sighed and led him to sit down.

"A-Huan.. As much as I enjoy our time together.. I don't want you to be sick." She said pouring him tea. The male smiled at her and took a sip of tea instantly feeling relaxed. She placed the snacks in front of him and smiled. "How about this? You relax while I take care of the paperwork?"  She asked and Lan Xichen looked at her. "But--"

"Does husband think I can't handle it?" She asked feigning to be hurt and he shook his head immediately. "No! Not at all.. Its just--" she cut him off by softly kissing his cheek. "Then let me do it." She said and he sighed knowing there was no way to change her mind and nodded.

The female smiled and took his seat behind the table picking up the scroll reading through it. Lan Xichen looked at her with a smile and picked up one of the snacks she had made, putting it in his mouth. He hummed with delight at the flavor before picking up another one.

The Hanshi was quiet with Wei (Y/n) reading through the letters and writing out replies, occasionally taking input from her husband. Lan Xichen sat next to her but she didn't allow him to touch the brush or hold a single scroll now. She smiled as she wrote the last reply and put the brush down.

"You finished?" Lan Xichen asked and she nodded with a smile turning her head to him. "You were under pressure.. So it took you more time." She said softly and placed a hand on his cheek.

"From now on.. Let me help you bear your burdens." She said he smiled nodding, leaning in and placing a soft kiss on her lips. "I will." He said when he pulled back. A knock sounded from the door and both of them straightened up.

"Come in." Lan Xichen called and a young disciple came inside. He saluted and Lan Xichen dismissed him. "What brings you here?" He asked and the disciple took out a letter.

Wei (Y/n) smiled immediately recognizing the color of the letter. "This letter arrived from Yunmeng for Madame Lan." He said respectfully holding out the letter.

Wei (Y/n) stood up and went forward taking the letter from his hands. "Thank You. You may leave." She smiled at the young disciple who saluted with a small smile and went out.

She sat down next to her husband and opened the letter. She recognized Madame Yu's writing and smiled at the news told. She placed it down and turned to Lan Xichen.

"Madame Yu wants us to visit, Shijie is coming for few days as well." She said and Lan Xichen nodded with a smile. "I think we can go. It'll be good for you to spend time with your family." He said and she nodded.

"We'll leave the day after tomorrow." She said and he looked at her confused. "Why not tomorrow?" He asked and she told him about accepting disciples.

"Uncle agreed?" He asked and she nodded with a smile. "That's very good!" He smiled and she nodded taking a paper to write a reply to Madame Yu. After she had written the letter, she summoned Eva and gave her the letter petting her head softly as she told her where to take the letter.

Eva flew away and Lan Xichen smiled standing up. "Let's go for a walk." He extended his hand to her and she smiled taking it. "Of Course."

Wei (Y/n) stood on the side observing as the disciples practiced. She hadn't been noticed yet as she was not standing in direct view. She took mental notes on them and evaluated the ones possibly capable of being under her guidance.

Once they had stopped and were relaxing, she walked out. They immediately stopped and saluted her. She smiled dismissing them and spike with a soft tone. "I'm sure Elder Lan has told you about this, that I will be taking few of you as my disciples." She said and they nodded, their eyes shining.

"I have made my decision to take three of you as disciples." Their smiles faltered for a moment but they nodded. She asked them to stand in rows and they obliged.

She looked at them before pointing at the petite boy on the back of the line. The boy looked surprised but stepped aside. She picked another one, with grey eyes and a pale face, the boy didn't look too strong but his moves had a solid base. The last one she picked was a little younger than the rest and made a few mistakes while practicing. He had a stutter she noticed.

After the other disciples had dismissed she smiled at the three boys. "Now would you like to introduce yourselves?" She asked and they nodded.

The first one she picked stepped forward saluting. "I am called Lan Yufei. I am currently 11 years of age." He said and she nodded turning to the second one who bowed.

"Lan Qiujian. 11 years." He replied softly, Wei (Y/n) guessed he wasn't the one for much words.

The last one saluted. "I-I'm Lan ZhaoLei.. 10 y-years of a-age." He stuttered looking down but Wei (Y/n) just smiled at the three of them.

"From today onward, You are my disciples. I will teach you all what your Grandmaster had taught me. I believe you all will work hard and be righteous." At her words the three boys nodded going in a deep salute.

"Yes Master!" The three of them said with synchronization before going on their knees and kowtowing to her three times.

I will pass on your knowledge and teachings Master Baoshan...
