The months of pregnancy are not by any means easy. Though from the time Lan Xichen heard this news, he was ecstatic. He made sure to spend as much time as he could with Wei (Y/n) even if that meant giving Lan Wangji too much work. 

The second Jade of Lan didn't mind it one bit. He knew the news was great and his brother was happy. Very happy. Maybe the only other time Lan Wangji had seen him this happy was on his marriage day. Lan Wangji took over half of Lan Xichen's duties gladly, allowing the older brother to spend time with his wife.

Lan Xichen was very careful about (Y/n) since he heard about the pregnancy. As much as (Y/n) found it endearing but sometimes he worried too much.

Two weeks after returning from Lotus cove, Wei (Y/n) was training her disciples. Just some simple moves of her complex sword fighting. She was wearing a simple blue and white Hanfu. Her hair had been done by Lan Xichen in a simple but beautiful hairstyle.

"Zhaolei move a little to your right. Straighten your arm." She instructed as she demonstrated again. 

"Like this. Make sure you allow enough room for the smooth movement of your feet." She held her sword in her hand and repeated the move slowly explaining as she went. 

"Master this is different from what we've learned here." Lan Yufei said as he tried to balance himself properly.

"That is because its the fighting style I was thought by your Grandmaster." She said smiling as she sheathed her sword, standing in front of the three. 

"Good! Try again!" She said holding her sheathed sword in one hand. She smiled looking at the three young boys. They were fast to pickup what she said to them.

Their robes had been tweaked a little by the female, after consulting Lan Qiren Of course. They had the same robes as the other disciples but the only difference was that there was an embroidered Red Phoenix on their right sleeve. It made clear that these three were Hexia-zun's dear disciples. 

"A-(Y/n)!" She was brought out of her thoughts by the call of her husband. Her three disciples stopped and bowed to the male who only dismissed them. "Husband." She greeted the male with a soft smile. "What are you doing here? You should rest!" He said taking her hand in his own, squeezing it.

Wei (Y/n) smiled. "Its alright.. I feel completely fi--" she was cut off by the male. "No. You need rest." He said sternly and the female sighed looking at her disciples who were conversing between themselves. 

"QiuJian. You take over. Practice for another hour and then you three are free for the day." At her words they all saluted. "Yes Master." 

She took Lan Xichen's hand who led her to the Hanshi. "Have you finished your work for the day?" She asked smiling and he shook his head. 

"Wangji took over." At his words she sighed. "A-Huan.. I know you worry but you can't give Wangji too much work." She said and he nodded. "Alright. But you don't listen... I told you to rest." He said as he opened the door to their shared room.

She chuckled as he led her to sit down. "A-Huan... Its just the first month. Its alright for me move around." She said softly and the male shook his stubbornly. "No." 

"You're acting like a child now." She laughed at his behavior and before she could say anything he uncovered the food in front of her. Rice, vegetables, meat and sweets. 

She raised her eyebrow at this. Half the food was not even allowed in Cloud Recesses. "A-Huan--" "I asked uncle. Its alright. The healers said you had to eat well." The male cut her off holding some rice in front of her mouth.

The poor male had been so anxious that he visited the elder healer of Cloud Recesses. The old woman had chuckled and told him the things he needed to know. Half of which made no sense to him but he was willing to learn. When she had mentioned that (Y/n) needed to eat well and that meant meat as well. He rushed to his uncle right after asking his permission for Wei (Y/n) to eat whatever she wished. The elder had experience and knew of the condition so he agreed to his request.
