They were interrupted when a loud ringing of a phone broke the silence, onyx looked over to her nightstand seeing the phone read 'Dad😈' she sighed and was about to pull away from one of the only sources of comfort until he stopped her, keeping her in place and he leaned over and answered the call. Onyx wasn't sure if she should have let him answer such a call with her father, if he was calling it meant it had to be important, her father can let a joke slide every now and then but he just preferred to stick with business.
"Hello-"

"-ONYX INEI DEMIC!!!!! What happened down there?!"

She heard her father say making the general flinch hearing her father's poison filled shouting along with her full name, Demic was her last name which was her mothers choice and her middle name was given because of her uncle's creativity and inei meant 'dark, shadow' in Japanese. "It's your father" she took the phone and she could easily hear Vinny in the background trying to calm down her oni of a father before he blew up anything on accident "what happened?! I could here you from all the way here!" He shouted as she lifted the phone to her ear, she really wasn't aware of what he was talking about, during this time she was receiving comfort and Zatz was nowhere to be seen so she guessed he was probably in the throne room

"father what are you talking abou-"

"-You know what I'm talking about!"

He said in a more darker voice and she could just imagine him glaring down at her burning the glare in her head as she slowly burned away in the ashes. "You embraced your oni side didn't you!" How did he? "i could hear your conscience roaring in anger from here-and don't you dare think about stopping me-Daddys on the Wayyyy!"

"Father no-" before she could say anything else he hung up, she hissed and shook her head before her hair burned in a soft flame in a rich purple making general lean back and take a few shuffles away to ensure he doesn't get burned by her sudden flames and what he could make up on the phone she was obviously irritated with her father but he wasn't sure why.
