Noel's POV

"You should, but I'm sure that you know that the Moon Goddess' law says that you can't have a kid with someone that isn't your mate." I say, and he nods reluctantly.

I have decided that I won't try to convince myself that this kid isn't his, because he looks exactly like a smaller version of Derek.

"And it's not very accepted here, so I will have to talk to the Alpha, who is my brother, then I will introduce you to him." I say.

"Will he hurt us?" He asks.

"I don't think so, the brother of my brother's mate got one of the woman's pregnant a while ago, and they weren't killed or anything, so it should be fine." I tell him, and he nods.

We walk the rest of the way to Scott's house, and I knock on the door when I reach it.

I opens only a few seconds later, and I'm greeted by my brother, along with one of his sons.

"Hey." Scott says with a smile, before he looks at my mate with a frown, and then back to me.

"Hi." I say, and I walk inside of his house when he steps aside, before I turn around to make sure that Derek's following me.

Then Scott leads us to his living room, most likely sensing that I want to tell him something.

I tell him everything that he needs to know, and he agrees to let my mate stay here for a while.

So, I thank him with a hug, and then he goes out of the living room, taking Peter with him, so he can meet his kids.

And I turn to my mate, who's already looking at me.

"You should stay here for a few days, I would prefer if you won't leave the house at all.

But if you will somehow come across anyone, and they will try to attack you or something, then tell them that you're my mate, and they should leave you alone." I say, before I stand up, getting ready to leave.

"You're going already?" He asks me, sounding disappointed.

"I have to go, my parents are waiting on me, and I will get in trouble if I will be back too late." I lie.

I do have to get back soon, but I don't really care if I will get some punishment for being late, although I would like some alone time, to think about everything that happened today.

"But I will be back tomorrow." I tell him, and he nods.

"Alright." He says, now sounding a bit happier.

I give him a quick hug, then I go towards the front door, and out of the house.

On my way back, I think over my decision about making my mate stay with Scott, but I know that I made a good decision, because Scott is one of my closest brothers, and I know that he will defend my mate if something will happen.

So, I force myself to stop over thinking it and I walk inside of the house.
