Derek's POV
I have spent a lot of the time with Leon lately, and I hate to admit that I have forgotten about my son a bit.
I used to spend a lot of time with him, but now he's lucky if he can see me for more than an hour each day.
So, I decided that I will take him on a walk today, and we will spend the whole day together.
I leave sleeping Leon on the bed, and I quickly go to the bathroom, before I walk down the stairs.
I find Peter in the living room, and I stop at the doorway when I see what's going on.
"No, you have to do it like this." Peter tells Noel before he shows him how to draw something.
They're both sitting on the couch, with a lot of papers and a few pencils on the table that is before them.
Noel looks at the paper, waiting for Peter to finish what he's doing, before he starts to draw too.
When he's done, he turns the paper to Peter, so he can see it better and Peter smiles.
"That's better." Petes says with a nod.
"Great." Noel says with a chuckle.
Peter notices me only a few seconds later, and he comes running towards me.
I give him a hug, and I pick him up, so I can look at him better.
"Do you want to go outside today?" I ask him, and he nods happily.
"Then let's get you dressed." I tell him, before I smile at Noel, and I walk up the stairs with Peter still in my arms.
I dress him quickly, then we go down the stairs, and out of the front door.
I put him on the ground, and I take his hand, before I lead him towards the woods.
"Where are we going?" Peter asks curiously.
"Leon said that there are soccer balls laying on some clearings, so we should find one, and play for a while, then we will go to Scott and we will take Jeffery and Jefferson with us to the pack house, so you can play with them." I say.
He seems happy about this, but I noticed the slightly angry face that he makes when I said Leon's name.
"Don't you like Leon?" I ask him curiously, and he shrugs.
"He's alright, but he takes you away a lot." He tells me.
"Well, he's my mate, so I will have to spend some time with him, because we have to get to know each other." I explain.
"You didn't spend this much time with Noel, when you were getting to know him." He tells me after a while.
"I know, but Leon is still in pain, so I have to stay with him to make sure that he's alright, but it will be for only a while longer." I tell him.
He just nods in acknowledgement, before he changes the topic to something that happened in the pack house, when he was there with Carter.
