" Only the dead have seen the end of war. "
- George Santayana

Narnia, 2315

"Be ready!"

The Narnians began to murmur and adjust their swords, sending Susan confused looks about why her arrow was plunged into Miraz's dead body. Lord Sopespian and the General hurried back to their troops, yelling orders and commands to their people.

"Begin the plan B." Olivia commanded Caspian, who seemed stuck in place. "Now!"

"Peter!" Exclaimed the Telmarine, pointing at a soldier rushing towards the High King. Peter easily killed him, his body lying next to Miraz.

Olivia licked her lips. "Go!" She hurried, Caspian mounting a horse and returning to the inside with a good gallop, Glenstorm behind him.

The three rushed to the other side of the ruins, the other lord running away from them. Olivia moved to stand by her husband's side, offering her hand to him. Perhaps the Telmarines would see it as a moment of weakness, but she didn't care.

Edmund offered his pinkie, their little fingers connecting. He pulled her against him, touching their foreheads with heavy breaths. "I love you." He murmured against her skin, kissing the region before gently pulling away.

"I love you too." She whispered, hesitantly letting go of Edmund's hand.

Peter grabbed their shoulders, pulling them both close for a light second before moving to stand in the middle, his chin raised and his sword high.

"To arms, Telmar!" Exclaimed General Glozelle, making his soldiers cheer and raise their spears, the ones further back beginning to move the catapults. Rocks began to hit Aslan's how, the Narnians groaning and dodging the massive space occupiers, but the Kings and the Queen of old maintained their ground steadily.

Olivia narrowed her eyes at the charging first line, the bloodthirsty Telmarines searching for killings to serve their country. Susan readied her archers, each of them taking their positions in the middle of the chaos beginning to erupt.

Underground, Plan B began to take form. Caspian gathered the Narnian, the fanfare sounding behind them. He and his troops began to cut off the pillars below the feet of the Telmarines, the earth bulging.

Olivia moved her hand, gesturing for the archers to eliminate the second line of the army. The first line was quickly wiped out, the soldiers too worried about the piece of land under them to think about the Narnians hidden in the tunnels charging at them with swords and spears.

A Narnian horse found his way to Edmund, who quickly hopped on and grabbed his crossbow. Olivia and Peter lowered their weapons, exclaiming, "Charge!"

Narnians began to emerge everywhere; several hidden passages revealed themselves, and many Narnians appeared to save the day. Numbers the Telmarines hadn't and couldn't expect began to emerge, hot-red and with extraordinary abilities.
