"Everyone has a nightmare, I guess I'm yours."
― Marissa Meyer, Supernova

Narnia, 2318

Olivia could never get over how handsome Edmund was.

After Lucy and Caspian left the room, leaving them alone, none of them could get back to their sleep. It had been too vivid, reflecting too much of their fears. Without her noticing, Olivia's hand flew to her shoulder, like she could still feel the dragon's heavy claw weighing her down.

Her husband looked at her sad figure and felt his heart melt. It was worse than any nightmare or fear. His thumb gently caressed the lines of worry decorating her face, the girl relaxing against his warm skin.

He didn't know what was making him feel this way, this urge to be so close to her, for them both to tell each other it was going to be alright because they had each other.

"Dance with me."

Olivia looked at her husband. The light of the sun was shining on his face through the window, highlighting his gracious features. He was Edmund Alexander Pevensie, High King of Narnia and the love of her life. There was no luckier than this.

"Okay. "She whispered, offering her hand. Edmund slipped his in her underback, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

They wished every moment could be like that. Demons haunted their dreams, their pasts covered their mind and heads like a sin. But when they held each other, they were free like angels at night. All was well; Edmund was never letting her go. Olivia would never stop loving him.

When we laugh or kiss, why do we close our eyes? Because the most intense and happy moments are not lived by seeing, but by feeling.

Edmund wanted freedom. He wanted to open his wings and make his demons go far away, and that was possible when he was with her. Olivia's smile made his fears and dreads leave and wish never to return.

He wished he could return to the night they met. To fix the mistakes he had made, to hug her instead of being mean. But, if none of that had happened, maybe they wouldn't have ended up together. And he couldn't risk it.

God, how could he have even questioned Olivia's loyalty and fidelity to him? Peter was his brother; he would never do such a thing. And Olivia loved him as much as he loved her; he knew it.

His entire life, Edmund thought of himself as a traveller searching for his destiny. But when Olivia's eyes met his, her hand in his while swaying gently, Edmund was sure he had found it. He had found his destiny.
