"Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future."
- Oscar Wilde
Narnia, 2557.
Have you ever been lonely? Truly lonely?
Narnia was absolutely empty. Everyone had disappeared except the friends of Narnia. As soon as Olivia guided them to the spy hiding place, the only person they could find was Lucy, who was desperate and had her eyes red from crying.
Nobody knew what to do, so they stayed there, hiding and discussing what the hell could have happened (after explaining to Susan the entirety of what happened to Olivia). They slept through the night, and at sunrise, Jill and Olivia went out to search for people. The two girls found absolutely nobody, not a single soul.
Eventually, quiet settled inside the hiding spot as they sat at the round table in the centre of the main room, only without some munching of bread or a loud sneeze. You couldn't even hear the birds chipping or the distant wolf howls.
Eustace pushed his plate forward, his chair jerking as he stood up abruptly. "Okay, you guys are way too dense." He said, slapping his hands on the table. "This isn't right; we should be out there, looking for the others, not staying inside and eating bread. I don't know if you all are coming too, but I'm leaving, and I'm going after Peter, Polly, Digory and Edmund. I'm going after Aslan; who cares, I just need to find some kind of answer!"
He stormed out of the room, slamming the door to one of the hallways. Lucy signed, running a frustrated hand through her hair. "As much as it pains me to admit it, Eustace is right."
Olivia frowned. "If we just go out there searching, we may never find any of them." She argued. "Narnia is a big place, and we have no idea where they could be."
Lucy shrugged. "We can find a way."
The warrior Queen shook her head. "It's not as simple as Eustace says– trust me, I'm dying to find the others, but we need to find their attention to a certain place and stay put.
Susan suddenly grinned, her smile spreading across her cheeks and reaching her eyes. "Do we have fireworks?"

After hours of searching, they found a big box filled with fireworks hidden in one of the storages. Eustace reluctantly agreed for them not to go out so they could set the fireworks.
Outside, staring at the starry night, Olivia grabbed the torch and lit the first firework. It went up and up until it reached the sky and exploded in a blind of green. Next, Susan, setting the second on and displaying an array of blue.
Jill set the next four fireworks, and they decided to keep the rest of the other nights to come. The rule was to set fire according to the number of people they had in the small group: one firework for each friend of Narnia there.
