Wednesday's POV:
It was dark—pitch black. I couldn't move. Why couldn't I move?
I heard quiet sobs in the darkness. Was that Enid? I tried to reach for her but I couldn't. What was happening?
I felt something touch my hand. I could feel other things and hear too, but couldn't see. Why?
I tried to open my eyes, but they didn't open. I tried again and again, practically trying to force my eyes open.
And eventually, they opened...
I was walking around the quad. My hand was warm and I glanced over to find Enid holding it.
Thank God she was okay. But wait, why was I walking? What was even going on?
I saw tears roll down Enid's cheeks. "Enid? What's wrong?" I asked, cocking my head a little.
She didn't answer so I repeated myself, but I still didn't get a response. I stopped walking and so did she. I turned my body toward her and she copied.
The wolf wiped a tear off her cheek with her other hand and as soon as she let it fall, I tried to grab it, but my hand went right through hers. What the heck?
Was I dreaming?
"Enid," I spoke sternly. She was just looking at me, not answering anything I said.
I closed my eyes for a brief moment, trying to contain my anger. But as soon as I opened them, I was on my bed in the dorm.
I shot straight up. Hello? I was just in the quad a second ago.
My eyes drifted over to Enid's side and I saw her sitting on the bed with Yoko next to her. My girlfriend was crying and was being comforted by the vampire.
"It's okay, Enid," Yoko said, holding the wolf's head close to her chest.
"I still feel like it's my fault," Enid replied.
"It's not, E. Look, she wrote you a note! She still cares about you. When she wakes up, y'all will still be good, okay?" The tall girl cupped Enid's face and smiled at her.
Wake up? I was awake though.
"I'm right here," I spoke, standing up and walking over to them.
They paid no attention to me. They did look at me for a moment before looking back at each other.
"Hello?" I questioned. Yoko pulled Enid into a hug and I reached over to rest my hand on Enid's arm, but it went through them again.
Okay, what in the stupidity of the world was going on?
Frustrated, I stormed out of the dorm, slamming the door behind me. But I peered back into the room to see if they heard the noise, but they seemed unaffected.
I walked through the halls, trying to find Xavier's dorm. Once I did, I barged into his room. I saw him hitting on the edge of the bed on his phone, and I marched over to slap the device out of his hands.
