Wednesday's POV:
Enid and I huddled close to each other in the corner of my side of the dorm. The way she held tightly onto me made it seem like she'd kill me before Tyler would be able to.
Loud bangs and screams were heard throughout the school. I flinched every time I heard something other than the sounds from Enid. The only thing I was fearing in the moment was Enid's safety.
The wolf was terrified—I had to be there for her. "It'll be okay," I whispered softly.
Her body was shaking uncontrollably and her lip was quivering when I looked at her face. "N-no, it won't," she muttered back.
I sighed in defeat when more screams were heard and a deafening howl bounced through the halls. When would this end?
Wait... He was here for me...
I slowly stood up with determination and with that, I gained a look from Enid. "What are you doing? Get down here!" the girl yelled in a hushed voice as she tried to tug me back down.
But I didn't move. I had to do this. So I freed myself from my girlfriend's grasp and began to slowly walk toward the door.
"Wednesday!"
I didn't look back. I unlocked the door quietly before opening it and making sure the coast was clear. "Stay here," I told Enid after I had turned to look at her.
I exited the dorm and closed the door behind me. I headed in the direction of the chaos, down the stairs and through the halls.
I spotted a group of kids sprinting in my direction. They ran past me, bumping into me, before there was a sharp cry.
My hands flew to cover my ears tightly, the sound bothering me. My ears started to ring, but I had to find Tyler, so I continued my search.
I quickly made my way to the bottom floor of Nevermore, pushing past people who were running. Once I turned a corner, I saw it—the Hyde.
I yelled out his name without hesitating, "Tyler!" He slowly turned around and stared me down, grunting and growling. "I'm right here, come and get me," I said, clenching my fists at my side.
I prepared for a lunge toward me, but he continued to stand there. I watched as the monster took a step toward me, big, slow, and careful steps. He was only a few feet away from me as Tyler looked down at me, a deep growl grumbling in his throat.
Its claws stretched out toward me to grab at me, but then I heard commotion behind me.
"Watch out!"
I whipped around to find a whole group of gorgons. Without a second thought, I darted as the Hyde shrieked. Before I made it away though, I saw the gorgons reaching for their beanies.

Enid's POV:
Wednesday abandoned me. I hoped she was okay. I was on her bed now, holding her blanket up to my face. I was terrified that something would burst through the door and eat me alive.
It had been like 10 minutes already. Wens better not be dead. I considered multiple times going out to look for her, but I really didn't want to get killed in the process.
