Wednesday's POV:

I walked into the dorm after class, sighing from exhaustion. Classes were getting boring as the day went on. Or maybe I was becoming less interested. I wouldn't know.

I took a seat at my desk and slid a paper into my typewriter. I began to type before someone walked into the dorm. I turned around to find Enid placing her bag down and grabbing a few things—like she was getting ready to go out.

"Where are you going?" I asked as she shoved things into her pocket.

"Going to talk to Ajax," she responded.

I immediately stood up and faced her. "Excuse me? Ajax? The one who attacked me? You're going to go talk to him?" I questioned furiously.

The wolf exhaled sharply, spinning around to look at me. She had no emotion on her face so that made me want to take back everything I said.

"You think I want to talk to him? I know what he did, but I was threatened to have a conversation with him," she growled.

She was threatened? I stepped forward. "If you were threatened then I am taking action," I stated.

Enid shook her head. "No, I can handle this. I won't be long, okay?" She forced herself to smile a little before she rushed out of the dorm.

I stood there, staring at the closed door, stuck with my thoughts. I couldn't trust this. Every bone in my body wanted to follow Enid to make sure things wouldn't escalate. But I had to trust her—I had to.

I took a deep breath before sitting back down at my desk. Please be careful, Enid.

I stopped writing after 10 minutes. My thoughts were racing, worrying about Enid. So I decided to try reading.

I walked over to my bed and sat crisscrossed. I pulled the book out from under my pillow and flipped to the page I last marked. I got comfortable and started reading.

A few minutes later, the door opens quickly before a figure lunges at me, hugging me tightly. The book was squished between the two of us so I slowly removed it, embracing the wolf that was in my arms.

"What happened?" I asked as I heard her sniffle. She buried her face into the crook of my neck and didn't answer me, so I ran my fingers through her hair.

She still needed me—I knew she did. But she wouldn't speak, so how was I supposed to help her?

"Enid..." I trailed off as my fingers ran over a small bump on her head that I hadn't noticed before.

"Enid," I spoke more firmly, prying the girl away from me. As soon as I caught a glimpse of her face, my breath hitched.

I cupped her cheeks as I looked at the bruises and red marks on her face. Someone hurt her...

"Who did this?" I demanded.

Enid sniffled and breathed quickly. "A-Ajax," she stuttered.

Of course.

"What did he do?" I questioned.

"H-he... I thought he just wanted to talk, to be honest. But in the middle of our conversation, he tried to kiss me. I pushed him away but he kept throwing himself on me, trying to... you know?" She looked at me for confirmation and I nodded.

My anger grew with each passing second that she explained to me what happened. He tried to take advantage of her and I was going to make sure he paid for it.

"Then he started hitting me and I fought back. Once I got him to the ground, I ran out," she sobbed quietly.

That was all I needed to fully trigger my uncontrollable rage.

Without an ounce of hesitation, I stood up quickly and took my butterfly knife out of my drawer before storming out of the dorm.

I was going to kill him. No one was allowed to touch my Enid.

"No, Wednesday!" my girlfriend yelled after me. Before I could walk down the stairs, my body was grabbed and shoved against the wall. "No killing," Enid ordered, pinning me.

I pursed my lips as I felt my face tense and I grabbed her and changed our positions. She looked at me in shock as she was pressed up against the wall and I kind of enjoyed the sight, but I had a mission to finish.

I roughly let go of her before rushing down the stairs, trying to be as fast as possible so Enid wouldn't stop me. But as far as I knew, she was still standing there in shock.

I marched to Ajax's dorm and barged through the door. The boy was standing next to his bed, staring at me in shock. I walked over to him and pushed him back against the wall, my forearm at his neck.

He struggled and squirmed, whimpering like the immature child he was. "You stay away from Enid," I spat in his face. "She is mine. If I see you lay a finger on her or even be near her again, I will kill you. Understand?"

The gorgon nodded his head quickly before I heard a pair of footsteps behind me. "Wens! Let him go!" Enid yelled.

My body was tugged backward and arms were wrapped around me tightly, keeping me from attacking the boy again. Ajax gasped for air, placing a hand over his chest as he stared at me in fear.

"Fine," I grumbled, forcing myself out of her hold. My fists were clenched tightly, knuckles turning white, as we walked back up to our dorm.

Ajax and Xavier were going to pay for this.
