Enid's POV:
I watched as Wednesday's face twisted in disgust as Morticia poured some kind of liquid into her mouth. The raven groaned like she was in pain and inhaled sharply before shooting upward.
We all gasped and jumped backward—I accidentally bumped into her mom and I squeaked. "Sorry!" I said quickly, turning around to look at her. The woman shook her head and gave me a small smile before I turned back to Wednesday.
"Enid?" the girl whispered. The way her eyes were when she looked at me—I just knew it was my girl who was back.
I lunged at her and tackled her down into a hug. I felt her bury her face into my shirt so I did the same to the crook of her neck.
We stayed like that for a while. I didn't want to let go. When I heard the door close, I assumed her parents had left. I felt her pull away and I did so as well, noticing the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Is it really you?" My voice trembled as I looked at Wednesday. She nodded and I sniffled, letting out a quiet sob.
"I'm so sorry," she mumbled, her lip quivering.
I moved to the side of her and got under the blankets. I laid down next to her and pulled her close to my chest. "I'm aware of what happened, but I want to hear your side of the story," Wednesday told me.
I sighed softly. "Let's see. You were gone for days, came back, didn't even know you were dating me, started to ignore me and fall for Jason, and then I saw you meet with Tyler one day. I confronted you about it and you went ballistic. Then break happened and that's really it," I explained.
I felt her head move against my body. I rubbed the top of her head gently, running my fingers through part of her hair. "Now why don't you tell me what happened," I suggested.
The raven pulled away from my chest and got into a more comfortable position. "Tyler and Ajax kidnapped me and told me I was the master of the Hyde. Tyler used a syringe and I feel like that was to make me forget a lot of things—including dating you. He wanted to take over Nevermore and made me find targets for him to kill. We held off the plan for break, but now since I'm broken from the so-called hypnosis, I don't know what to do."
I nodded my head slowly. "We'll figure it out. When we get back to Nevermore, we get Tyler and hold him hostage to interrogate him, and then we finish him off," I spoke with a little bit of determination in my voice.
Wednesday's eyes closed. "Okay."
They opened again to look into my eyes, and I noticed how the light glistened in her dark eyes.
Her hand moved to my chin as she tilted my face down a little, connecting my lips with hers. My hand automatically went right to the back of her neck and I rubbed it gently. She held my waist as the gentle kiss continued.
Her body pressed against mine and Wednesday started to open her mouth more. I copied her action—tongues were put into play. The raven pushed my side to lay me down on the bed and she sat on top of me, leaning over slightly.
The door opened.
THE DOOR FUCKING OPENED!
Our heads snapped toward the door to find Wednesday's mom standing there with wide eyes. "My apologies, girls," she said before slamming the door closed.
We looked back at each other—both of our faces bright red. I chuckled and she cracked a tiny smile. Aww.
The girl groaned a little as she got up off me and stood from the bed. "Food's probably done," she said as she walked out of the room and down the hallway.
I followed behind her, careful not to lose sight of her in this giant mansion. We walked to the dining room where Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley were sitting. The woman didn't look up from her empty plate.
I sat down next to Wens, face still red. I dug into my food—it was very delicious. Around five minutes had passed before my girlfriend finally spoke up.
"Go on, Mother! Just say it already!" she said, annoyed.
"You girls are—"
"Yes!" Wednesday cut her mom off.
Jeez, she was so mean to her parents. "Wens, be nice." I nudged her shoulder, but she ignored me.
There were a few more moments of silence before she spoke again. "Let's finish telling each other about what happened," the raven whispered to me.
For the rest of dinner, Wens and I just talked about what happened while she was brainwashed. As far as I knew, she remembered everything that happened during that time and was able to tell me now. Honestly, I was glad she remembered that and before she was kidnapped.
Once we finished eating, Wednesday removed herself from the table, and I was quick to follow. But I, of course, thanked her parents for the amazing meal first.
I raced up the stairs after my girl, not really wanting to get lost. I walked into her room where she sat on her bed, picking at her fingers.
I slowly walked over to her and sat down. "Wens, you have to be more nicer to your parents." I chuckled briefly.
"They're used to it," she mumbled.
I sighed. "Are you okay now? I mean after all that had happened to you?" I asked.
The raven shrugged and I waited for an answer. "As long as I'm still with you, cara mia." Her eyes stared into mine with...
I giggled and smiled before tugging her down onto the bed with me. "Let's get some sleep, yeah?" I said as I pulled the blanket over us.
Wednesday nodded and buried her head into my chest. "I love you."
I grinned widely. "I love you too."
