Wednesday's POV:
"What?" I said, taken aback by what she had said.
"Well, not back to school. I saw him leaving the principal's office and apparently he was just 'visiting,'" Enid explained.
I didn't trust that. "I don't believe that at all. Why would he randomly leave the school and then come back to visit?" I pointed out, furrowing my eyebrows.
"I don't know, Wens! But it doesn't matter. He isn't enrolled and I saw him leave. We're fine, we're safe here," she spoke as she grabbed my hands to hold them in her own.
I rolled my eyes—I didn't want to argue with her. I always trusted my instinct... but maybe it was time to lean on someone else's instinct instead...
"Fine," I murmured as I looked over at my calendar that was on my desk. "What's today?" I asked her.
"Tuesday," the wolf answered. "Obviously you missed school but I excused you from all of your work."
I looked at her and blinked in disbelief. The teachers couldn't have allowed that. "Well, the principal did," she added as if she read my mind.
Then Enid spoke again, preventing me from taking a turn to talk. "Can I take you somewhere tonight?"
I raised an eyebrow. "Where?" I asked with curiosity.
My girlfriend held her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels. "A double date kinda hangout with Yoko and Layla," she told me.
I hummed before nodding my head. "Sure, but if you may excuse me, I have a novel to work on."
The girl giggled as I got up and sat at my desk. "Okey-doke! I'mma go tell Yoks," she said before leaving the dorm.
I sighed to myself as I set up my typewriter. Finally, I could get back to my normal routine.

Enid's POV:
I rambled on and on about how excited I was for the hangout as Wednesday and I walked down to Jericho.
"How about you? Are you excited?" I asked her after being done talking.
Her cold expression remained the same as she looked forward. "No," she replied, being stubborn. We all knew she actually was.
We arrived at the Weathervane and immediately spotted Yoko and Layla. We walked over to sit and Wednesday sat by the window.
"How are you guys?" I asked as I sat down.
"We're doing good," Layla answered, moving closer to Yoko with a smile on her face.
I squealed inaudibly and grinned widely. They looked so cute together. I wondered if Wednesday and I ever seemed that way to other people. But I doubted it because of how cold and rude she was.
"So, what's the topic?" Yoko asked.
I turned to Wednesday whose face was still the same as when we walked here. I sighed. I wished she'd show more emotion.
