Yoko's POV:

I was in a cop car, speeding to Crackstone's Crypt with an ambulance following.

The officer abruptly slammed on the brakes and pushed himself out of the car. I heard growling and pained yells from inside the crypt and I freaked, jumping out of the car as well.

I ran to the building, ignoring the officer's calls to me, and swung open the doors. I stopped in my tracks at what I saw.

Enid was wolfed out and attacking Wednesday.

Wednesday gasped as she stood to her feet and backed away slowly from the wolf. Enid growled and swung, knocking the raven to the side.

"Enid!" I yelled, even though I knew it wouldn't have an effect. Who knew, maybe she would come after me instead.

Wednesday got up and tried to run around the creature to me, but Enid snatched her and held her against the wall, a large paw tightly wrapped around her neck. Holy fuck.

I cried softly—I didn't know what to do. I wanted to help so bad, but what could I do?

"Enid! Enid, stop!"

The raven choked for air, her hands trying to pry the wolf's paw off of her, but it was useless.

A light shone on Wednesday's face and I saw the police officer next to me, holding a flashlight. Wednesday's face was turning a different color and her eyes started to roll into the back of her head.

Then, I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I glanced over to find the man raising a gun and before I could stop him, he pulled the trigger.

Wednesday's POV:

I sat next to the hospital bed, gripping Enid's hand tightly. A few tears slipped down my cheek as I looked at her.

"I'm so sorry about what happened, Enid. I never meant to hurt you, I'm sorry. Forgive me."

Her eyes were closed. Oh, how I wished I could see those ocean eyes.

Yoko walked out of the bathroom, and I quickly wiped away the tears. She sat in the chair next to me and ran her fingers through Enid's hair. We both wanted her awake.

The doctor walked into the room with a clipboard in his hand and he stood on the other side of the bed. "Enid seemed to have been injected with a serum that made her go crazy. So far, we haven't been able to identify the substance, but we did get it out of her system," he explained, softly tapping his fingers against the back of the clipboard.

Yoko and I looked at each other before I looked back at the doctor. "When will she wake up?" I asked, my voice cracking quietly at the end.

"The bullet hit her upper shoulder and due to having an adrenaline crash, she passed out. So she should wake up soon," he answered. "If you need anything, you know where to find me," the doctor said before leaving the room.

I looked back at the unconscious girl on the bed after he left. Please wake up, Enid. I miss you.

Enid's POV:

I sat up quickly, gasping for breath. Where was I? A hospital? Why? What happened?

I looked to my side to find Wednesday and Yoko standing next to the bed, eyes wide in shock.

"Wh-what happened?" I choked out, very confused.

They calmed me down and settled me back down in bed. Yoko began to explain the story as Wednesday and I stared at each other. I was trying to read her thoughts, but I couldn't tell what she was thinking. Was she doing the same to me? Was she still mad at me? Am I still mad at her?

After a few minutes of the story being told, I was even more confused. "The last thing I really remember is Bianca taking me somewhere. Then in the Crypt, I remember her yelling something at me and I had no control over my body. I don't even remember walking out of Nevermore..." I trailed off.

Why couldn't I remember anything?

Wednesday looked at Yoko with a cold expression. What was she thinking?

"You were injected with something too," the vampire added. "It made you wolf out and attack Wednesday."

What? I would never do that to Wens. She was too important to me—even after she slapped me.

"I would never," I whispered as I looked at my girlfriend. Her eyes softened.

"I know," she spoke firmly as she stood. "I think Bianca is behind this."

Yoko shook her head rapidly and stood up as well. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Bianca? My girlfriend? Her? Would do something to her?" she exclaimed as she pointed at me.

The raven turned her body to face my friend. "Think about it, Tanaka. The last thing she remembers is Bianca taking her somewhere—nothing else. She has to be behind it!" she said passionately.

God, she was so hot when she had power coursing through her veins.

Yoko scoffed and shook her head. "Unbelievable. Impossible," she murmured before storming out of the room.

Wednesday's eyes met mine after following Yoko. "I'm sorry," she whispered as she leaned onto the bed.

"For what?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"For what just happened."

"It's okay," I said, patting her hand for reassurance. "We should confront Bianca or something," I suggested, giving the raven a small smile.

"Sounds like a good plan." Wens smiled a little at me and it made my smile grow bigger.

The girl stepped closer to the top of the bed and leaned down to plant a kiss on my forehead. "I'm sorry for what I did," she said softly.

I reached out to cup her cheek with my hand. "It's okay. We're putting it behind us—let's just focus on Bianca," I told her and she nodded.
