Wednesday's POV:

I rested my chin on the palm of my hand. The class I was in got boring very quickly. I hadn't gotten enough sleep last night—I had been up all weekend chatting with Enid.

I glanced over at Enid next to me and saw she was fast asleep—head in her arms. I sighed and shook her awake. Her head soon jerked up to glare at me, but I returned it.

She rolled her eyes before sitting up straight and doodling in her notebook, muttering things under her breath.

I looked at the clock, impatiently waiting for it to strike 11. That was when we went to lunch. I couldn't wait for it.

My head slowly started to slip off my hand as I dozed off and I landed on a warm, bony surface. I lifted my head to find my girlfriend's hand there before slowly placing it back down to rest for a bit longer.

Enid's POV:

Once the bell rang, Wednesday and I walked out of class and I rambled about how we should get some sleep tonight. She mumbled some things in response and when I looked at the dark circles around her eyes, I desperately needed her to sleep.

I wanted to try something new today, so I decided to be bold. I reached for her hand, just as she did in my nightmare, but once I grabbed it, the raven immediately pulled away. Wednesday glared at me and I pouted. Welp, I tried.

She soon sighed and rolled her eyes. My eyes drifted down to her hand and her pinky was out. I looked back at her, confused, and she rolled her eyes again.

Suddenly, she yanked my hand upward, curled my fingers into a fist, and stuck my pinky out before wrapping hers around mine.

OHHHH!

Hehe.

I giggled and held her finger firmly. That was why she did that... Holding hands was a no-go, but pinkies? Sure, why not?

I laughed in my head as we entered the quad. We made our way over to Yoko and Bianca to sit. At our seats, there were already plates of food. I thanked them as I felt Wednesday's pinky leave mine as we sat down.

I spotted Yoko staring at me and I raised an eyebrow. "What?" I asked.

She side-eyed Wednesday who was talking to Bianca. "Are y'all..." She started to ask, but I cut her off by nodding excitedly.

The vampire squealed and I did as well. We stopped as we saw the two other girls looking at us, but we ignored them and laughed as we looked at each other.

Wednesday's POV:

I already knew the vampire knew Enid and I were dating. It wasn't hard to tell. I knew Enid's relationship with her.

I was talking to Bianca about the upcoming fencing tournament. "Are you participating?" I asked her.

She nodded. "Yep, are you?"

"Yes, I think—" I got cut off by the girls next to us squealing.

Bianca and I looked at each other in annoyance before looking at the girls next to us. They caught our stare and Enid looked at me, her face softened and she gave me a little smile.
