Wednesday's POV:
"Who do you think you are making Enid cry?" I grumbled into the phone once I had it secured in my hand.
"Excuse me?" an older lady responded—probably the imbecile, her mother. "Who the hell are you?"
"Wednesday Addams. State your reason before I start counting," I threatened.
I noticed that Enid had curled up into a ball on my bed. I sat down next to her and ran my fingers through her hair, dealing with her mother on her behalf.
"Addams?" She scoffed on the other side of the line. "You know what? You better stay the fuck away from my daughter, you son of a bitch! I promise you, I will—"
"How about you stay away from Enid?" I raised my voice to cut her off. "You are a terrible mother and she does not deserve you. You do not want to mess with me, Mrs. Sinclair. I promise you, I will ruin your life."
There were a few seconds of silence before her mother spoke again. "Fine! Be her new mom, I don't care! Let her know that she's a huge disappointment and a mistake. She never deserved to be in this family anyway!"
My jaw clenched tightly before I pulled the phone away from my ear and hung up. After I tossed her phone to the other side of the bed, I turned my attention to the sniffling girl beside me.
I tilted her head upward so I could look at her face. I cupped her cheek and rubbed my thumb across her cheek, wiping away a few tears as well.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, and she answered with a slow nod.
Her mother was an expendable nobody. She'd better hope she doesn't cross me or she'd be sorry.
"I'm sorry," Enid choked out with a sob.
I shook my head. "Don't be. It's your mother's fault. She doesn't deserve you," I said.
I pulled the wolf up a bit so I could wrap my arms around her neck gently to hug her. I didn't want to let her go—she's gone through too much.
Plus, she deserved a long, heartwarming hug from her psychotic girlfriend.
Enid's POV:
I hated my mom. She was such a fucking asshole. I never wanted to be in that family—they treated me like crap because I couldn't wolf out. She turned all my brothers against me.
They beat me up as if it would make me wolf out, but I never did. So, I continued to get beaten up by them for years. The worst thing was that my dad never did anything, he just stood by and watched—never intervening.
My mother was abusive and also homophobic. So if I've ever told her about dating a girl, I'd most likely be kicked out of the pack.
I despised her indefinitely. I wished her dead every day. I would never be normal because of her. She made me feel horrible about myself. I hid my scars on my body, not wanting to show my flaws.
I didn't plan on telling Wednesday either. Who knew what she would do once she found out?
"What'd she say about me?" I questioned, pulling away from the raven.
Wednesday looked at me for a few moments before answering. "Nothing, she said nothing." Her eyes moved away from mine when she spoke, but then she moved them back.
She was lying, I knew she was lying. My mom always had something to say about me.
"Stop lying. What'd she say?" I repeated more firmly this time.
The girl hesitated before finally telling me. "She said that you're a disgrace and a mistake. And that you never deserved to be in the family."
I looked down—typical sayings. "Of course... and she's right," I mumbled. I felt fingers on my chin as my head was turned toward her, my eyes connecting with hers.
"No, she's not. You don't deserve that abomination of a human. You are not a disgrace nor a mistake. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, Sinclair. Don't let your mother ruin it."
I felt a small tug on the corner of my lips as I pulled Wednesday in for a kiss. "I'm so lucky to have you, you know that?" I chuckled.
She smirked slightly. "And I'm lucky to have you."
I got pulled in for another kiss before we heard a knock on the door. Gomez walked in and immediately noticed my face. "Oh, Enid, dear, are you okay?"
I nodded my head and gave him a small smile. "I can handle it myself, Father," Wednesday said, glaring at him.
But he only smiled at her. "I just came to let you girls know Tish and I are taking Pugsley out. Did you want to join?" he asked.
I turned my head to look at Wednesday who slightly shook hers. "No, it's okay. We'll stay here, thanks though!" I told him.
"Alrighty! Be safe, girls," he exclaimed before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
My girlfriend sighed as she turned back toward me. "Do you... maybe wanna watch a movie to cheer you up?" she offered.
I smiled and nodded quickly. "I'll go grab my computer!" I bellowed before getting off the bed and running to my room.
I skipped back to her room once I grabbed it. I was super excited to cuddle with Wednesday and watch scary movies. She was someone I never thought I'd find.
I loved her to the moon and back.
