Wednesday's POV:
I laid in my bed, hands under my head, and I sighed while I looked up at the ceiling. I was excited—I had a whole plan for tonight.
A whole date plan.
I soon sat up, taking in the breathtaking view of Enid. She was lying so comfortably in her bed, snuggling with her stuffed animals.
It was early Friday morning—we still had class. I swung my feet off the bed and stood, but then stumbled. I held on to the side of my bed and steadied myself. What the hell?
I then breathed in, but my nose was stuffed. I was just fine a second ago. I took careful steps toward the bathroom, my weight shifting with every step I took.
I almost tripped as I reached the sink. I felt weak, was I okay? I scavenged for some medicine before finding some and swallowing a pill. I took a deep breath and started undressing to take a shower.
I hoped I'd feel better—I had a date.
Enid's POV:
I woke up to water running. Wednesday was up so she must be showering. So, I got out of bed to grab my uniform and put it on. By the time I was done, my girlfriend walked out of the bathroom.
"Good morning, mi amor," she said, glancing at me before turning away to get her stuff.
Her voice sounded a bit rough. Was she okay? I walked over to her as she went through the bag on her bed.
I placed my chin on her shoulder. "Are you feeling okay?" I asked.
I felt her head nod. "I'm fine," she answered before moving away.
I didn't think she was fine. Her breaths were deep and heavy and she seemed to be walking limply. But she still stood tall.
Maybe her limp was bothering her? I hadn't seen it in a while though. "Is it your side?" I questioned carefully, not wanting to startle the girl.
"No, I said I'm fine, Enid," she said sternly.
The raven turned around and walked out of the dorm. I followed her out and stayed next to her side. She walked a bit slower than usual.
We finally arrived at the classroom and took our seats. As we sat, I turned to my girlfriend. Her face seemed paler than usual too. I opened my mouth to say something, but someone cut me off.
"Hey, Enid!" I turned to the voice to find Layla looking at me. "Could we possibly sit with you at lunch again?" she asked.
I smiled and nodded. "Duh! No need to ask, you can sit with us anytime!" I exclaimed.
The girl grinned widely before turning back around to talk to Jason. Oh yeah, I never mentioned we had first class with them, did I?
I looked over at Wednesday who was now lying her head on her arms on the table. Was she sleeping?
"Wednesday?" I whispered. She didn't budge.
I decided to let her sleep and take notes for this class for her. But that meant I had to really pay attention, and that was hard. But anything for my girlfriend.
