Wednesday's POV:
I was peacefully sleeping until a loud crash in the dorm woke me. I shot out of bed and immediately noticed a bunch of shattered glass on the floor by the window. There were a few broken panes, but overall, most of the window was intact.
I glanced over at Enid's bed to question her, but she wasn't there. With a raised brow, I glanced at the clock on my desk to find it was midnight. Why would Enid be up this late and not in the dorm?
I carefully walked over to the broken glass and knelt next to it. There was no object lying around, so whatever or whoever did it must have used a crowbar and held onto it.
I slowly stood up, still staring at the shards. Who could have done this? And why?
Wait... Ajax.
What the hell—I needed to get Enid.
But before I could take action, a bag was swiftly pulled over my head.
Enid's POV:
I got hungry in the middle of the night so I went down to the cafeteria to steal a bag of chips.
I shoved chips in my mouth as I headed back to the dorm. The saltiness filled my mouth and relieved me of my hunger. God, I loved that feeling.
I opened the door quietly, not wanting to wake my girlfriend up. But as I turned back around, the bag fell from my hand and my snack spilled all over the floor.
The window was partially smashed and pieces of glass were scattered on the floor like a land mine. What the hell happened?
I turned toward Wednesday's bed, ready to wake her up and ask 20 million questions, but she wasn't there.
"Wednesday?" I called out, frantically looking around the room. She was nowhere to be found.
I ran down to Yoko's dorm, bursting through the door that was somehow unlocked. Tears streamed down my face as I called out into the darkness. "Yoko?"
The light turned on in front of my eyes and I squinted, being blinded. Once I got used to the light, I looked toward Yoko's bed to find her sitting up with Layla next to her.
Whoops... No time for that though.
"It's Wednesday!" I choked out through tears.
The vampire was at my side within seconds. "What about Wednesday?" she asked softly.
"Sh-she's... she's gone!" My voice cracked as more tears spilled. "The—the window was broken and—and she wasn't th-there!" I spoke between sobs.
"Hey, E. E, it's okay, you're okay. She's probably in the school somewhere looking for you because she's worried. Let's go try to find her, okay?"
We looked.
And looked.
And looked.
We searched the entire school. We didn't find Wednesday at all.
Me, Yoko, and Layla asked around to see if anyone saw her.
But no one did.
She was gone.
She was missing and I had no idea where she was.
In the middle of the hallway, as we were walking back, I collapsed to the ground, struggling to breathe. I clutched my chest as I heaved, trying to catch my breath, but I couldn't.
I felt Yoko and Layla placing their hands on me, trying to comfort me and help me through whatever I was feeling, but nothing helped. I could barely breathe, and I couldn't stop thinking about one thing.
Wednesday was gone...

Wednesday's POV:
When I opened my eyes, I was lying on cold pavement. I sat upright, leaning on one hand to hold myself up. It was pitch black—I couldn't tell where I was.
Suddenly, I saw a light glow in the distance. I tried to tell what was nearby, but I couldn't. A dark silhouette was formed in the light and I squinted. Who was that?
The figure began to approach me, growing bigger and bigger by the second. The light disappeared as the shadow covered it.
"Who are you?" I asked once I knew the person was standing directly in front of me.
I heard a click and a series of lights flickered on, revealing the room I was in—a basement. The last light that was above me and the person turned on. My breath hitched at who was in front of me.
Tyler.
"Hello, Wednesday."
