Wednesday's POV:

I woke up the next morning, surprised that I had slept after all that had gone on the day before. I rolled over to face Enid, but she wasn't there.

Concerned, I sat up and glanced at her side of the room. But she wasn't there either. Where could she have gone?

I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I stood. I looked at the clock to find it was only eight in the morning. Enid was definitely never up this early on the weekend. I peeked at my calendar to make sure it was the weekend and I wasn't missing any classes.

It was only Saturday, so I sighed in relief. I scanned the upcoming week and I realized the fencing tournament was on Friday. Oh damn, so soon.

I had been so caught up in all the chaos with Xavier and Ajax and me and Enid, that I completely forgot to be training for the tournament.

I quickly marked down that I had to train every day for an hour after classes. With me, Wednesday Addams, on the team, we should definitely get first place.

I finished writing and grabbed to get some clothes so I could shower. I needed to wash the stench from yesterday's events away.

Enid had drifted away from my mind as I remembered the fencing tournament. So now where the hell was she?

Enid's POV:

I unlocked the door and walked into my dorm. I had gone out early this morning to buy something for me and Wednesday. So much happened yesterday that I thought we needed a break.

So I wanted to have a little me and Wednesday time before inviting my friends over.

I looked over to find Wednesday not in bed, but I heard water running from the bathroom. She was probably just getting a shower.

I grabbed one of my unused blankets and a couple of small pillows. The window swung open as I stepped out onto the balcony. I started to set up—laying the blanket down, placing the pillows on it, and taking out the things I had brought for us on the side. I even got a little candle since it wasn't windy out.

My only problem was that I didn't know how to light it...

I knew where a lighter was though. Wednesday had everything. I rushed back inside and trotted over to her desk, looking through her drawers until I found a lighter.

The water wasn't running anymore which meant she'd be out anytime soon. I quickly and quietly ran back out to the balcony, hoping she didn't hear me.

Wednesday's POV:

I exited the bathroom, instantly feeling another presence nearby. I discovered my drawer was slightly ajar and I opened it to find my lighter missing.

Who on Earth would take my lighter? And why?

Suddenly, as if my question had been answered, I heard a whimper outside the window. I walked over and peered through the window, seeing Enid struggling to light a candle.

I snickered and rolled my eyes. Such a scaredy cat.

I opened the window and stepped out, startling Enid. She growled at me and I smiled, taking a seat next to her.
