So this chapter is slightly different. Its a short break from Damon killing people and focus on other characters. It takes place whilst Damon is off killing people and trying to find Stephanie.

Alesandro had no room for mistakes especially when it came to his beloved restaurants which his kids often made fun of him for how much time he invested in them. But they knew their dad showed up to every event they had, every parents evening, basically everything whilst they were growing up so Alesandro never took the jokes seriously.

It was mid week, he was occupying himself more with work this week as he knew Damon was out for blood. Mason had to work but would check in on him late afternoon, and would either help him or stop him from going completely deranged.
Alesandro would do it himself but he knew he couldn't be the one, simply because he knew Damon needed Mason, Damon respected Masons opinions and would do it out of his own free will, and Alesandro knew Damon didn't need to be ordered about, if Alesandro told him to stop for the evening, Damon would have no choice but to comply. Of course Alesandro would definitely step in if needed but so far, Damon hadn't completely lost it.

So Alesandro occupied himself with his restaurants, his newest one to be exact. He would open a new restaurant spend some time making sure  it was perfect and could run perfect without him then he'd go around his other businesses .

Because he demanded perfection, his hotels and restaurants all ran smoothly without him bring present so he didn't need to be constantly present.

Today the restaurant wasn't doing so well. A server messed up an order. When Alesandro warned them not to do it again, The server was disrespectful so he fired the server.

To make matters worse, the kitchen had sent out terrible food.
He was furious with his staff so when he stormed into the kitchen, he wanted to fire Sienna for allowing such terrible food out of the kitchen.

"Where is the head chef" he demanded.

"Not here sir" one of the chefs replied.

"I personally think she should be fired" another added.

"Where is she?"  Alesandro asked, he expected his staff to be on time, ring in late or ring in sick.

"We don't know"

It explained why such terrible food was leaving the kitchen.

He walked back out of the kitchen, he was all but ready to call Sienna and fire her when she hurried into the restaurant, thankfully through the back door which was just for staff.

"Where were you" he asked her.

If she didn't have a good anwser, he would fire her.

"I'm sorry sir, my car broke down, and my phone died on me, I've had to walk here"

"Yet you are still 3 hours late" he said knowing it probably didn't take 3 hours to walk here.

"I had a personal matter that suddenly came up" she said.

That personal matter was her ex, he had shown up.

Then she had to negotiate with her landlord that she would pay her when she got her pay check.

Her ex husband wasn't toxic in the marriage, they just didn't work out however he took everything and she was left with just enough to get by, he had come round for no reason really just to annoy her and taunt her a bit.

"I don't fucking care, you should have rung in that you would be late because of a personal matter.  Now as such what was so important that you came in late" he wasn't happy at all.
