Sophia had listened to all Dante's insults but part of her took this one to heart. He wasn't usually this cruel but just the reminder that she was only at this school from a scholarship made her feel insecure. She didn't even know he knew that . She kept it a secret because she didn't want to be bullied despite the 0 tolerance for bullying , certain people like Dante got away with it.
It made her feel inferior, her parents could never afford this school so she worked hard every day. In her first year she made alot of friends, but those friends left to pursue different stuff. The only friends she had was her childhood best friend Antonio and shortly after Lucy, Hailey and Evan.
And throughout the years she grew to become more beautiful, plenty of guys wanted to be with her but her focus was always her school work until this past year. She didn't want to fail any classes because of the scholarship.
When she met Emilia they became fast friends without knowing her family. Once they were aware, the group didn't care she was a Russo. She wasn't like her brothers so they remained friends.
Yet being friends with Emilia meant on occasion they would run into Matteo or Dante. It was what every girl in the school wanted, even just a small acknowledgement from the brothers. But not Sophia. She hated how their interactions made her feel but Emilia was her best friend and she wasn't going to tell Emilia because she didn't want to cause any trouble.
She knew Emilia already told Dante not to cause her trouble. She had even threatened to stop speaking to Dante if he continued speaking to Sophia like he did, and for as while Dante was nice. That was long ago though.
Being reminded she didn't deserve to be here , didn't deserve friends made her more insecure.
So maybe that's why she became a easy target that day.
She didn't feel like eating lunch with her friends that day because the words played in her mind. She didn't deserve them.
And so she went to her locker to grab some books. She had decided to visit the library. She usually studied at home as it was easier but today she felt the need to prove herself.
But of course Daniel was watching her. He was still pissed off with her for embarrassing him. He didn't go near her though because she was always with her friends.
And then there was Dante who had made it perfectly clear not to go near her.
"Aw do you have to study? Did your friends finally realise you're not good enough " he approached her today though. She was alone. There was no one in the corridors.
Similar words to Dante. Did no one think she was good enough?
Probably.
"Just leave me alone. you're the one who cheated not me" she replied glaring at him.
"But you're the one I want" he said snatching her book from her and tossing it on the floor.
She tried to walk away but he grabbed her wrist pulling her back, pinning her roughly against a locker.
"Just admit it, you broke up with me because you were jealous. That girl was just a quick and easy fuck. I bet you just wanted me to fuck you instead. We can make that happen though"
Sophia had never felt as scared as she did now.
"You changed " she whispered. She didn't know he had sex with the girl but even so he was the type to tell her corny jokes, to study with her, to hold her when she was sad. And now this?
"I know. I changed for the better. I'm giving you the option" he ran his hand over her body "no there won't be any option, such beauty doesn't deserve to be kept hidden from me" he said his hand going up her top.
