chapter 63

"right kids off to school, I need to go to work soon, Sienna you are to rest" Alesandro said after breakfast.

"You're making her rest"? Matteo questioned with a small smile on his face.

"Yes" Alesandro stated.

"So if she's not working does that mean she can come to my game" Matteo asked.

"You will have to ask her, it's not my decision" Alesandro stated.

"Sienna I have another game will you come. Pleasssseeee" Matteo asked.

Now Dante was acting distant because he didn't like the idea of getting hurt again but in that moment he wanted Sienna's attention.
He didn't blame her for giving most of it to Matteo as he was the only one making an effort. Damon and Emilia had been talking to each other, Mason on his phone and he had eaten silently.

"It's my game too" Dante felt embarrassed for adding it. He wasn't even part of the conversation and felt stupid for trying.

"Well boys I'll think about it as I might be back at work by then" she said not wanting to overstep. She smiled warmly at Dante, Dante couldn't help but smile in return.

Once they eventually left for school she decided to talk to Alessandro.

"Matteo asked me to watch his game and I think even Dante wants me there" she started.

"Yes don't feel pressured to go. They will be okay if you don't attend" Alesandro reassured.

"Well actually I was hoping you'd give me permission to go" she asked.

"Why would you need my permission" Alesandro asked thinking she didn't need to ask him if she wanted to do something.

"They are your children, I don't want to overstep and I want to make sure it's okay with you before doing anything that concerns them" she explained.

Alesandro suddenly felt like a shit father. He always made it clear even to his family he would make the decision. And when women tried to tell him how to parent he got annoyed. But right now Sienna was asking him.

He didn't know how to feel about it. On one hand he was glad she respected his parenting enough. He usually required anyone to ask his permission when it came to his children especially when they were younger. Even from his own parents. If they had wanted to take the boys somewhere for a day, they had to ask first. Of course his kids got a say in the decision but Alesandro always tried to act in best interest of his children.

On the other hand, everything was so natural with Sienna he didn't realise she had a valid point and he hated that she had asked, he felt like if she wanted to go , she should. And it concerned him because those feelings that he tried to deny were still there and he hated how she simply fit into the family, like she was a missing piece.

"I don't mind you going. I'll be going myself. I always go to their games" he replied.
"You've got to rest first though" he added.

"What about work" she asked.

"Already sorted, I have someone filling your position for a few days" he told her.

Sienna tried not to show she was upset. It was the realisation that she was replaceable. He had replaced her within 24 hours and just that knowledge alone hurt.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling dizzy? Would you like me to get a doctor round?" Alesandro asked

"No I'm fine. Just go to work" she didn't want to be like this.

Alesandro knew something was wrong but didn't want to cross a line so he left.

Damon was busy in his office at work. He was bored of the meetings and wanted to go do something illegal. He had alot to catch up on with his legal businesses so there was lots to do.
Every day he did check the security footage at the entrance for one purpose.
He wanted to check Clara had come in and she was okay.

She would often go do mafia stuff straight after work then head to Jake's home.

He personally thought their relationship was going a little too quick. It had been about 2 weeks and they spent all their time together.

Thankfully tonight she wouldn't be with him because he had to find out a few names of drug dealers. Now he could beat it out of them but they were dealing in one of his clubs and despite the rumours , Damon had no criminal record, his companies weren't involved in any criminal activities either.

Yes he was the Mafia boss but he made sure no crime even drug dealing in one of his clubs happened.

He wanted to keep it that way.

And so it required a more quieter approach. And Clara was going to go and simply have fun, he wanted her to ask around if anyone was selling.

Now Damon knew his presence in the club might not get them the result they needed but he couldn't let her go in alone.

He would be sitting in the VIP section though where he knew no dealing was occurring so he knew he would probably go unnoticed.

Clara was soon getting bored of her job. She had no intention of quitting but delivering coffee and photocopying was getting boring. She wanted to be the one writing the reports or at least something useful.

She was really enjoying her time with Jake too. However she often felt a little sad when he refused to do the things she liked. But she figured it was his own preference, they didn't have to like the same things.

He was very nice regardless, she always had a good time with him. She had spent the weekend with him and they had some great dates. It really did make them closer. The only thing she didn't like was how he didn't let her talk to the server because he was a man when they went to a restaurant.
