chapter 50

If you haven't read the Russo's, the chapter where Alice is pregnant with Dante , this chapter does touch on something that happened.

"I'm incredibly dissapointed in you Damon" Alesandro scolded after Sienna had left.
"I didn't do anything wrong" Damon said although he did feel a slight effect of his father's words. No child wants to hear them.

"You pointed out she had no family. It's disrespectful and you should be ashamed of yourself" Alesandro replied. He was starting with Damon but he would go on to have a similar conversation with Dante.

"Fine. If you even want my opinion, I don't like her" Damon stated.

Alesandro did want his opinion, he wanted all his children's opinions because he was a father first and deep down he knew he wanted them to approve of her because he did have feelings. And those feelings had surfaced when he saw how she wasn't dismissive of his children and actually talked to them more than him at times.

"Well I like her, so does Matteo. You're a grown man Damon so just move out if you don't like it" Emilia said.

This took Damon and Alesandro by suprise. Dante had overheard from the other room as he was eavesdropping to see how bad he was going to get it. He was quick to get Matteo and Mason and the three started to listen in to the conversation.

"It doesn't work like that I'm afraid Emilia. Even if he's a grown man, i have to consider all my children's feelings" Alesandro said trying to calm her down.

"Why don't you like her Damon? Is it because she didn't cower away in fear and actually anwsered your questions" Emilia was annoyed and it showed.

"Fine. I like her. Do what you want. I'll be gone tommorow anyway " he snapped knowing he had lots of work to do.

"You know I was happy you were coming home. It's been 3 weeks since I've seen you but right now I wish you didn't come back"

"Emilia where is all this coming from. Yes Damon was rude but I can tell it's something else that's bothering you. What did he say or do to make you feel this way" Alesandro calmly asked.

"He knew she didn't have family but pointed it out and it obviously upset her. He knew it would upset her and he did it." She stated then turned to Damon "you liked pointing it out didn't you "

Damon knew he should lie but instead he didn't "yes"

"Exactly. You grew up with a family. You have no idea what it's like to have no family and you took pleasure in knowing she has no family.

And that's when it clicked for everyone. Emilia was upset that Damon had been rude about Sienna having no family when Emilia herself didn't have a family growing up.

"Shit" Dante muttered knowing he was apart of it.

"You better fix it" Matteo said in a tone his two older brothers found strange. Matteo sounded aggressive.

"It's not the same Emilia" Damon said.

"You're right there's plenty of differences but you made that comment." Emilia stated.

"You're right I did. And I won't apologize. I don't like her"

"Get over your issues, I had to live with Alice if anyone shouldn't like her it's me. But I do"

"Alice was a good mother at first. You can't expect me to trust her. A year down the line and she might be a bitch" Damon said.

Alesandro was silent taking in his children's opinions.

"You don't have to worry, she's just a friend " he eventually said. He didn't want his kids to ever get hurt so he couldn't risk it.

"Both of you fix your problems" Alesandro said not wanting to be apart of the drama between his eldest and youngest so he left.
