chapter 25

Okay quick note. This chapter mostly consists of Emilia's response. I want to get her out of the way so I can focus more on damon. Now that she knows everything I can write more demon stuff.

"goodbye kid"

"Goodbye demon"

Damon was in shock for a few seconds before snapping out of the daze.

She knew?

Those few seconds were enough for her to leave the office.

"Get back here kid" he quickly followed. He was always hesitant to use her name around everyone. Of course they would die if they laid a hand on her but he was still cautious especially around the more dangerous members. And right now, members of the mafia were all over the place.

Thankfully so was Callum and Emilia had quickly run to him
"Let's go. I mean can you take me home please" she said looking behind her.

"Don't listen to her Callum" Damon called as he approached them.

"Pleaseeee" Emilia begged.

"Sorry boss' orders"  Callum said.

"Please Callum. I'm a ared of him please just take me away" Emilia said hating how she was manipulating him.

Damon had been taking his time thinking Callum wouldn't leave now he had ordered him to stay. He had even stopped following her she was with Callum so he got the chance to look at her for a proper reaction.

"Sorry boss'" Callum said feeling guilty for disobeying an order but Emilia was more important in his opinion.

So Callum grabbed her and they ran out. Damon didn't bother to chase after them instead he went back to his office. He didn't know what to do.

She knew he was the boss. How was she okay with this information. She was in danger.  How long had she known though?

"What happened, what did he do" Callum asked once they had driven a little.

"Sorry I didn't mean to act like that. Its just he knows. I thought it would be fun to wind him up since he didn't bother to mention it"

"Mention what? I hardly think the boss needs to tell you things" Callum asked.

"No but when your family tell you they are in the Mafia, they could have mentioned they run the Mafia" she said.

Callum couldn't help but pull up to the side of the road. He would have caused a crash otherwise.

"He told you? You know?" Callum was shocked.

"He didn't tell me. I wasn't 100% sure but I wanted to visit today to see if I was right and I basically let him know when I said goodbye " she didn't go into detail.

"And you're okay with it?" He asked cautiously.

"I actually don't know. He's Damon and I love him, he's my brother, he's protected me from so much and I could never hate him. I hate that he's a criminal but he's also my brother " she was very conflicted but at the end of the day. It was Damon. Damon was scary and he definitely had anger issues but she knew he wouldn't purposely hurt her.

"I suppose it explains quite a bit" she muttered thinking of all the times the Mafia boss had protected her.

And then her mind went back to the dreaded day, the day Damon was shot. They all knew how to use guns and kill without emotion.

"Wait. If Damon is the boss now, before he became the boss it would have been my dad right"

"Yes" Callum told her.
