chapter 65

So last chapter showed how Damon spent his evening, this chapter shows what his family were doing. So the chapter starts at a similar time to last chapter but continues on.

Sienna had felt kind of useless sitting about doing nothing so she was determined to go for a walk but as she got to the bottom of the driveway she felt dizzy, she knew better than to wander out feeling like this but still not having anything to do , she decided mid afternoon to cook dinner.

She expected his younger kids to arrive home first but was surprised when Alesandro entered.
"Don't you usually work late" she asked.
"Not all the time, but I'm always here for when my kids get home" he replied eyeing the meal she had prepared. It just needed heating on the hob.

"You're pissed with me" he stated.
"Well you did hold a knife to my throat" she countered.

"Yes and I apologise. I know you're upset and angry about it and I'm doing my best to show I truly am sorry but this is something else" he told her.

"What else could there possibly be" she said.

"I don't know. You tell me"

Sienna wasn't one to beat around the bush or play childish games about the other person secretly knowing.

"you got a replacement fast" she stated.

"Well yes, I can't close a restaurant because you're not well" he told her like it was obvious.

"That's just it though I'm replaceable. You made it clear I'm just an employee but even that can be taken away at any time"

Alesandro didn't realise she felt this way. He thought she was aware of how much he valued her as an employee.

He knew the same couldn't be said for anything personal.

"Sienna you are not replaceable. Where work is concerned I trust you completely. I should have trusted you on a personal level too but I didn't and I screwed up. You have a job for me until you retire or quit. I don't intend to fire you or replace you. The chef I have in is from a different restaurant, and he'll go back once your better" Alesandro explained.

"Okay fine" she didn't know what to say because he seemed genuine.

"I'll make it up to you" he stated.

"Money can't fix everything" she stated.

"I know Sienna " he knew Sienna wasn't impressed by money but he was hopping she'd forgive him once he'd proven himself sorry.

"And I'm not shallow enough to accept stuff" she added.

"Not even expensive jewelry" he asked. He had no intention of getting her jewellery because he already worked out what kind of woman she was.

"No. So good luck trying to make it up without money" she replied.

"I don't need money"

Before the conversation could continue, they both heard the front door open.

"Excuse me" he told Sienna and left to go see his kids.

"How was your day" he asked all three.

"Great" Matteo and Emilia replied with similar smiles whilst Dante gave them both dirty looks.

Alesandro smiled already knowing his two youngest probably had made progress on getting Sophia and Dante together.

"Well you know the routine, if I need to sign anything make sure you hand it on, go do your homework before anything else. Sienna has made dinner so we'll eat soon" he told them.
