chapter 130

"what are you doing" Anna asked as Damon got comfy on the sofa in his room.

"Sleeping" Damon replied.

"You sleep on beds though" Anna stated.

"Yes but I have Clara" Damon said.

"Oh who's she?" Anna asked , she was now comfortable in Damon's bed.

"My girlfriend. She's amazing but she doesn't always see it. We had a fight" Damon said.

"Maybe I should be the one on the sofa then " Anna suggested.

"No it's okay. It's just a bed, I'll tell her tomorrow" Damon told her.

"So are things serious with Clara " Anna asked, she wasn't trying anything, she was just curious.

"I think so. We are serious but we had a rough meeting. I treated her badly when we first met. I don't know if we can get over it"

They both stayed up for a few hours talking about Clara and Damon's relationship. Damon never said he loved her but Anna knew by the way he spoke, Damon loved Clara. It was honestly sweet to listen to how he spoke about her.
Of course Damon was still sober enough not to mention the mafia.

And that's the last thing they did before Damon woke up.

He didn't know what to say or do. He felt like utter shit.

He quickly took out his phone,  his first thought was of Clara.

He some how received no messages from her but he knew she was okay because Zeke had sent him a message 30 minutes ago.

Zeke: Arrived 10 minutes ago, building secure. Checked in on her and she's safe.

"Fuck" Anna said as she woke up.

"Oh god. Where am I? We didn't do anything did we?" She panicked.

"No we did nothing, we just talked. You're here because I couldn't  leave you on the streets" Damon informed her.

It all came rushing back to Anna and she was relieved nothing happened.

"Thank you for everything, you really didn't need to do that" Anna said.

"It's fine, I'll drive you back home" he told her.

"Okay but one question" Anna said. Damon nodded for her to ask

"What are you going to do about Clara. I think whatever you argued over, you can fix it. Oh you could buy her flowers and chocolate and take her on a date"

Damon smiled. It was nice to be around a woman who had no desire to be with him.

"But she was the hypocrite, I only spoke the truth. And she said she wanted space so I gave it her" Damon said.

"You should both apologise to each other but I think considering you left got drunk and didn't return home to her last night you should apologise first"

"She hasn't even asked where I am" Damon said glancing at her phone.

"You didn't say what it was don't worry but from my understanding she's going through alot emotionally, she doesn't need you telling her what to do, she needs you to be there for her" Anna adviced. She had only been given a brief bit of information.

She knew Clara was going through a hard time, that they had argued about Clara refusing to listen to an explanation about Damon wanting her to do something work related.

"I told her what I thought of her though. I told her she was beautiful and intelligent" Damon was frustrated with everything .

Anna smiled knowing Damon was in love with Clara but didn't know it. She knew it after talking to him whilst they were drunk, she could only imagine how painfully obvious it was to people he was around every day.

"Okay well how about instead of arguing you both sit down and talk it out. Do something special for her" Anna advised.

"I think it'd best we get you home now" Damon said.

Once they both were ready, they left Damon's bedroom. Damon was hoping his family didn't see but of course Alesandro and Sienna were already up. And heating footsteps, Sienna had gone to tell whoever it was , that they were making breakfast.

Sienna and Damon locked eyes. Sienna glanced unimpressed at Anna.  Damon and Anna hadn't done anything but the way Anna looked, and how they both were trying to sneak out of the house, well it definitely didn't look innocent.

"Alesandro" Sienna called.

"What is it Si" Alesandro came from the kitchen. He quickly realised and he glared at his son.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing" Alesandro asked.

"Nothing happened dad" Damon said.

"Yeah because it certainly looks like nothing happened " Alesandros tone was filled with sarcasm with a undertone of anger.
"You have a girlfriend Damon, what the hell are you doing picking up random women. I expected better from you" Alesandro didn't hesitate to call out his son.

"We only slept here because we forgot our addresses" Damon said.

"Bullshit. I own plenty of hotels, you could have both gotten two different rooms in any of them. Instead you bring a random woman into my house" Alesandro said with anger.

"I would never cheat on Clara"  Damon told them both.

Sienna looked at Damon with doubt. She didn't really know much about Damon's dating life so she couldn't comment but she chose to add to the conversation when she noticed Matteo and Emilia watching the scene play out.

"How about we let Damon explain himself" she advised.

"Clara and I got into a fight, she wanted space, I went out with Callum , I met Anna and we got drunk. This was the only address I remembered. She slept on the bed, I slept on the sofa" Damon said.

"It's true, he stopped some men hitting on me and we grabbed a few drinks. All we did last night was talk about Clara. Nothing more" Anna agreed.

"Fine. Go take the woman home and go make it up to your girlfriend " Alesandro said, much more calm now.

"See I told you that you had to make it up to her " Anna couldn't resist the told you so moment.

"Right let's just get you home" Damon said glad he was being let off.

"Oh and Damon I expect you to tell Clara about this sleep over or I will "  Alesandro called.

Meanwhile Matteo and Emilia turned to each other.

"Clara and Damon seem to be having problems" Matteo observed.

They both smiled and looked at each other before both saying "let's plan a date night" they both exclaimed with excitement.

So Anna is a new character, I mentioned adding one a while ago.

Now you might think I'm dragging this book but I'm just setting up new characters for the next books. I do have a end point but I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get there as I do need to develop their relationship alot more and I plan on doing a few family scenes.

I wasn't sure how to add Anna to the story but I chose to go down this path to show that although Damon is drunk he would never do anything like that to Clara.

She will become friends with Damon but everything is platonic . She's not going to betray Damon or mess up Damon and Clara's relationship. She's simply going to become Damon's chaotic friend.

 I don't want to see anyone shipping them together!!

And no I've not added her to set her up to be in a relationship with anyone.
