chapter 60

Across town, the day was dragging for Sienna and when it finally reached evening service, she wanted to go home and sleep but she still had several tables left.

"I think I need some air" she said as she started to feel dizzy. She really wasn't feeling well and maybe it was just the events catching up to her.

The other chefs all agreed she did and told her to take her time. One of them gave her a bottle of water to take outside with her.

She was out back, the kitchen door led out into an alley. She felt herself feeling more dizzy and more tired.

"You look like shit Sienna. I hope I taught you a valuable lesson"

She looked around and saw her ex. He was soon stood in front of her.

"Why won't you leave me alone. We were together for years and things didn't work out , we agreed to divorce and now you're stalking me and acting aggressive" she asked.

He had never been like this when they were together so she found his behaviour very strange.

"Maybe that's because right now I'm out on bail because of you" he stated.

"What do you want, surely it's more than money now" she asked.

"Yes it's you. I know you won't take me back so I had to find a way you wouldn't fight as much" he said with a dark grin on his face.

Sienna thought she had been getting sick but in the moment she realised her ex had drugged her.

He kissed her. "I'll see you after you finish work" he said and walked away.

Sienna felt like she was overreacting when she re-entered. She was an adult, she shouldn't be feeling like this.

She remembered how Damon gave her his number. Maybe she could use it? She didn't want her ex anywhere near her.

"Sienna are you listening"  the manager asked. The service had just ended and they were cleaning up. She was deep in thought and trying to take as much time as possible. She didn't call Damon because she didn't want her ex to suffer because of her.

"Sorry I was just thinking. What did you say" she wasn't going to let herself be the victim.

"Well the boss is here. He changed the menu in this restaurant recently so he is just here to check how the restaurant is doing. But he wants a full staff meeting"

Sienna wanted to cry. She didn't want to see Alesandro, she had enough of the day but now him too.

So that led her and all the staff to be sat at tables whilst Alesandro was stood and conducting a meeting.

There was no warmth. He called her Miss Miller. He didn't acknowledge her anymore than he had to.

The dizziness had worn off by now however she still felt exhausted and couldn't help but think how he managed to drug her. He must have been in her apartment. Every time he had, he never did anything. And since he had clearly drugged her recently, if he had planted something last time, it would have effected her last week. Leading her to the chilling conclusion. He had been in her apartment.

"Are you ok" the server who was sat next to her asked.

Sienna nodded. She really wasn't.

She thought back to this evening and how he had managed to get her without a fight. She was worried if he drugged her stronger then she wouldn't have any control whatsoever. And that broke her.

She couldn't help but running into the back. Just outside the kitchen. Where no one could see her and she was still in the safety of the restaurant.

She didn't want to be the victim and yet she was terrified if she left she would become one.
