chapter 20

So this is really just a filler before going back to Damon and his mafia life. More bonding

The beggining of this  takes place the morning of the last chapter so whilst the kids are at school and then it will skip to Matteo and Emilia arriving home.

Alesandro again picked up Sienna, she would be getting her car this evening after work. Something Alesandro was happy about, he wouldn't be going to the restaurant much longer as it was running smoothly. So he was no about to go out of his way for her.
Today she seemed a lot happier though, Alesandro wouldn't be at the restaurant after lunch so he ran through everything with her. He had a manager that he'd already run through everything with but he always made sure his head chefs knew just as much. They got to the restaurant and Sienna said her goodbyes as she headed to the kitchen to prepare the food for the day. She was stressed because a few of the chefs weren't in and she was alone preparing stuff, they were suppose to be helping her.

"What are you doing" she asked when she saw Alesandro come in to the kitchen. "The manager just informed me that we are low on chefs" he said as he started washing his hands and making sure he was okay to handle food.
"Yeah will they be in later" she asked slightly frustrated.
"Probably but they're fired. I've asked a few of my spare chefs from my other restaurants to transfer here, they'll be in soon" he said like it was no big deal as he started to prepare food alongside her.
"You can't fire them because they were late. I was late once and I'm still here" she said, truthfully she didn't think much of them, they weren't the best, they were lazy half the time. It made her wonder how they got the job, she suspected they were good cooks and once they proved it and had the job they didn't care much anymore.

"They got drunk last night, they slept in because they were hungover. I don't care what my staff do in their own time but if it effects their work then they don't become useful. Besides they were lazy"
"All of them got drunk?" She questioned.
"Yes some party" he said realising seinna wasnt invited to it.
He stopped peeling the veg for a moment as he watched for a reaction, but she nodded absent minded as she continued to prepare the food.

Alesandro couldn't help but be impressed with her, they weren't friends at all but they both had alot of respect for each other.

"Stop staring Albert" she said.
"What did you just call me?"
"Albert" she said like it was nothing.

It was the name calling that made everyone wonder why he kept Seinna around.  The entire restaurant staff knew about it and they knew he called her Sarah. They were confused as to why but they never expected Sienna to call him anything other than what was expected of them.

It amused Alesandro, he didn't say anything back but once they were done, he went to leave the kitchen but paused "the new chefs should be arriving soon Sasha, make sure they know the menu first" he said.
"My name isn't Sasha"
"And mine isn't Albert"

Time skip to Matteo and Emilia coming home

Matteo and Emilia walked in laughing and talking about their favourite scenes in the film. They both had alot of fun and  had become closer in such a short amount of time.

They went to find their dad as he had told them to let him know when they got back. Now normally his children would send him a message but Matteo and Emilia had ulterior motives.

They smiled as they entered the living room. They noticed he was on a business call, but because he wasn't doing it in his office they knew it wasn't serious. Either that or no one else was in, which was a possibility since Mason went to check on Damon after work usually and Dante was probably studying.

The two of them quietly went in and sat on the opposite sofa, they both respected their dad was working. Emilia had no clue what was being said so Matteo quickly whispered that it was hotel stuff. They both sat staring at their father with mischievous smirks.
