chapter 121

I forgot to mention last chapter the bodyguard Zeke is no threat. He's gonna be the typical bodyguard does his job but gets roped into stuff Clara does and they end up becoming friends.  This probably won't be written in the book and will all happen out of book.

Loving the guesses. I know this might seem like it's dragging but I am ending the book soon so I'm trying to build their relationship more instead of just focusing on kidnapping. I want them both in a happy healthy relationship.

Here's a thought for you all. Someone he trusted....Emilia...she doesn't have access to criminal stuff so she gets Olivia's help. She wants rid of Clara because she wants Damon to herself and  all along she really was troubled like Lexi described her to be. Lexi is actually the unwanted twin and Emilia is the villain.

(This isn't the plot I could never do that to Emilia but the plot twist.....)

Damon got home after midnight. He smiled when he saw Clara asleep taking up most of the bed.

He didn't disturb her as he got ready for bed.

When he finally got in bed he gently pulled her closer and  into his chest. he realised she meant everything to him. She didn't fully wake up but she cuddled up to him  making him smile.

He knew he had to tell her the truth and it would break her.  He wanted to put it off until he found out who the boyfriend was but he knew he couldn't keep putting it off.

He needed to speak to his dad tommorow and Emilia.
But right now he focused solely on Clara.

Sadly morning came to quick. He didn't want to get up.

Clara tried to wake him but he pulled her back down.

"Not yet" he mumbled.

"It's getting late. Don't we have work" Clara asked.

"Not today" Damon said. His companies could run themselves.

"Okay fine but I'm getting up" Clara said.

Within seconds, Damon was straddling her with a smirk on his face
"I knew you loved this position" Clara said refering back to the shoot out and other occasions where Damon had  been on top of her before they got together.
"I do" Damon said with a smirk catching her off guard. She didn't expect him to admit he did.

"Aww you've gone all red love" he teased .

"Just get off me, you're practically crushing me" she said dramatically.

"Not even a morning kiss" he asked.

"There" she gave him a quick peck.

Damon wanted to kiss her but he hesitated deciding not to push her if she didn't want to do anything. He knew they were just teasing each other but he chose to take her seriously wanting to respect her regardless.

"Alright love, I'll go make us some breakfast" he said getting off her.

Clara was suprised how quick he actually got off her.

He left the room after quickly pulling on some joggers and a t-shirt, opting to get ready after breakfast. Clara remained in her pajamas which consisted of shorts and a t-shirt.

"You must always look presentable"

She never really did listen to her mother's words and she knew her mother would be horrified if she knew her daughter was so unpresentable in front of Damon Russo, the billionaire who could have anyone.

She snapped out of her thoughts and followed Damon to the kitchen
He too looked lost in thought.

She wondered why he was so quick to get off her.
