Another chapter. Don't think I've ever written so much in a day. Yes all these updates have been written today. They aren't prewritten chapters as I publish as soon as I've written a chapter.

Clara woke up in a bed which at first she started to panic. She had been in a cell for over a week. And the bed she was in was the most comfiest beds she had been in.

She quickly checked what she was wearing as being in bed might mean different clothing. At first she was confused by the hoodie but realised she was still in her original clothes.
She started to remember what had happened.
She had been poisoned.
The boss helped her.
She buried her face in a pillow out of embarrassment when she realised she had asked him to change her.

She was just glad he didn't.

But where was she now?

She decided wherever she was, she wasn't in a cell so she could escape.

She got up, feeling dizzy all at once making her sit down again. Once she was sure she was okay she quietly made her way to the bedroom door half expecting it to be locked. She missed the warmth and comfort of the bed but she had to get out of here.

She realised she was in a massive penthouse style apartment.

That's when Damon came into view, he was on his laptop on the sofa working.

"Good you're awake. There's clothes in the bedroom, go shower and change"  he didn't even turn around, surely she had been quiet.

"Where did the clothes come from" she asked realising any clothes he did have wouldn't fit her.

"You were unconscious for several hours. I found the time to send Olivia to the shop to get you some clothes. I do apologise if they are the wrong size or not your style" he explained.

He found the time to send someone else....was he serious.

"Thanks I guess" she said as she stumbled back to the room. He didn't look up from his laptop once, he still had a legal company to run.

She saw an outfit in the wardrobe with unopened underwear which she was greatful but slightly confused how Damon knew her bra size.

Of course Damon was a womaniser so he didn't even have to look properly to guess.

And it wasn't hard to guess her clothing size was a small.

She went to the ensuite bathroom with the clothing and laid it on one of the counters. She noticed a range of hygiene stuff and was greatful for those.

Meanwhile Damon didn't show it in front of her but he was relieved she was awake. It had been hours now and he was constantly checking on her.

It distracted him from focusing on his work.....(not that he minded)

He felt guilty for letting it happen but he had no feelings for the woman however he did appreciate her bravery. He hadn't met anyone who wasn't family act so confident. He saw she was scared but he was impressed at how well she tried to hide it.

Even Olivia, probably one of the few women he could tolerate wasn't as confident as Clara.

When she emerged from the room, she was dressed in jeans and a oversized sweater that was designed to be oversized. He noticed the low neckline but didn't look lower than her neck for 2 reasons.

The bruising he had caused.
And he wasn't the type of man to look women over like that, at least in a professional setting. If he was at a club or somewhere similar then he obviously did look them over.
"You need food. And you need rest. You're still going to feel the effects so once you're not weak you can go. I replaced the shoes we caught you in, there is some new ones by the door"

She was shocked at his compassion but wanted to leave as soon as possible. "I'm not weak I can leave now" she said.

"Go ahead" he stated.

She was shocked but the more she walked the more the dizziness took over and sensing it, Damon had gotten up and was right behind her to catch her when she fell.
"How about having something to eat first" he suggested helping her to the sofa.

"Why are you being nice"  she asked.

"I am a nice man outside of work. Your information was accurate, we had a deal so you're free to leave anytime"  he said.

She didn't believe he was nice for a second.

"So is it a leave and never return to the country type leave"

Damon thought about it as he looked at her. She was interesting.
"If you want to stay in country, you will report back to me"
"I left because I didn't want to be involved in this sort of life" she said.

Damon knew Callums idea was stupid because why leave a life of crime just to join a worse one.

"And I appreciate that.  You don't have to be a member. Go spend time with your family, see old friends, get a normal job. But any criminal activity just tell me. There won't be any dangerous situations. Just a normal life and let's say one day you come across a drug deal all you need to do is let me know"

"Are you so bored that a drug deal is a big deal. Don't you only do big stuff" she said, she was tempted as it was a good offer because she knew she wouldnt come across a crime.

"Yes but i always like to keep on top of things. If it's some random kid selling drugs then that's fine but who knows it could be part of a drug gang. Which would require my attention." He explained.

"And if I don't come across any crime, what then?" She asked.

"Nothing. You go live your life. We're not friends so why would we talk to each other or even see each other" he said.

"Okay deal" she replied. She wouldn't tell him even if she came across a crime.

"But double cross me or even reveal my identity and I will kill you. No torture, I will just kill" he warned.

"Got it. Your name is Damon right?" She was sure she had heard his friend call him Damon.

"Yes" Damon said knowing she could easily find out by social media.

"It is late though so I do recommend you staying till morning" he said noticing it was getting late

"Fine but only because I like the bed so much" she agreed.

"Great. Olivia didnt get you any pajamas so I'll get you one of my shirts to sleep in,  and you can put those clothes in the wash tonight for tommorow. I do have plans in the afternoon so you'll be gone by then"

He wasn't going to let her stay here on her own and he wasn't taking her to dinner. She had to be gone.

So it's cut short because they aren't friends so no deep and meaningful conversation where they both start to like each other.

And for everyone hoping she won't be gone tommorow and they'll spend more time together, she most likely will be gone because she hates him.

Damon probably did seem a little to easy going in this but he wouldn't be demon the stalker if he didn't check up on her without her knowing to make sure she isn't telling people. And isn't plotting against him.

What does everyone think of Clara?
