chapter 15

"where are you going" Emilia asked coming out of the kitchen. It was early morning, she of course had a nightmare but not wanting to disturb anyone she had gotten up.

She didn't expect anyone else to be up so when she heard someone walking downstairs, she went to see who it was and saw Damon heading out.

He didn't think she'd be up and when he saw, torture was the last thing on his mind. It was still on his list but he was focused more on Emilia

"What are you doing up, you need sleep. Its not healthy. Please tell me you're not going out. It's only 5am, there will still be bad people out there"  he lectured.

"Relax I'm not going outside. I just couldn't sleep and didn't want to disturb anyone" she said.

"How do I know you're not going to go on a walk to clear your head" he asked. Every time she went out late at night she got into trouble and yet it didn't stop her going out again.

Granted one time was partly his fault but she didn't follow the directions he put in on her phone. She purposely went to the dodgy areas instead of walking the safe path home.

"I'm too tired to consider going out besides every time I end up going out he always shows up. I don't want to see him"

"Then you should try get some sleep. And who don't you want to see?" He had a feeling it was himself. He did tend to always show up.

"Your stupid boss" she muttered.

"He shows up because he cares. With security at its highest, I guarentee if you do decide on a late night walk he will bring you straight back home" he said.

"I'll just scream mafia and hopefully a cop will hear and he will get arrested " she had a grudge with the boss since he shouted at her two weeks ago.

But after sorting things out with Alesandro and Damon. With them both talking to her normally, telling her how dangerous it was. She understood where the boss was coming from but he was too harsh.

Damon laughed slightly, it wasn't the first time someone screamed for the cops. Although he couldn't exactly kill his sister. He would be open to knocking her out, probably with an injection rather than actually hitting her. But only if it was a actual last resort.

"So would you scream mafia if I came and found you instead" he asked.

"No. I'll scream serial killer"

Damon laughed slightly "and when the police come I'll tell them my dear sister is a brat. Or better yet I'll tell them you're an obsessed bratty fan who won't stop following me " he countered.

"I think they are more likely to believe me, the child" she replied.

"Over the successful businessman who doesn't have even the slightest criminal record and is known to have obsessed fans who won't leave him alone, I think they would believe me over the homeless kid" he stated.

"Since when did I become homeless in this story. Besides obviously the old business man is trying to kidnap and kill a poor defenceless homeless girl" she continued.

"Well you're not home at 5am which leads me a complete stranger to believe you're just a homeless kid following me about. And trust me I am an outstanding citizen, I even donate to charities, never been in trouble with the law, I'm well known."

It was always the ones you'd least aspect to be the worst type of criminal. But Damon hid his crimes so well that when rumours surfaced about him being involved with the Mafia, the police who were desperate for a lead conducted a investigation and they found nothing. He was such a respectable person they had to make a public apology and all media sources had to apologize.  The police never bothered with him again because he was such a good person in their eyes.
