The words kept echoing through the air as Megan wandered in a strange place in her mind. It shifted from being a black void into a spark of light. The light coming from the horizon, reveals the large meadows of grass.

Unfortunately, she wasn't alone, a shadow was spotted behind her, it was a familiar sight. It grew closer and whispered.

"This is all your fault, you caused everything to go to shit."

The shadow's voice laced with disgust and resentment towards Megan, she knew that voice. Her voice, talking to her and demeaning her existence.

"You disgrace of a person."

Megan tried to look away but the shadow of herself grabbed her by the shoulders and forced her to look. Her body was unable to push away or move. She was stuck.

"Let me show you how miserable you made everyone."

In a flash, Megan could feel the dream morphing, she wasn't a grown woman anymore, but instead a child again. She looked up to see her father facing her; however, his face was slightly blurred. He started to walk towards a lake that's filled with booze, in that moment she quickly tries to run up to him and stop him from walking towards it.

But no matter how much she pushed herself to run as fast as she could to catch up with him, she was never close enough to reach for his hand. He never looked back as he walked into the water to drown himself, Megan went to cry out for her father but nothing was able to come out. She tried her very best to run faster till she finally got close enough to jump into the lake.

She held her breath and swam for dear life to try to pull her father out of the booze-filled lake. Just about the time she was able to reach for him, something strong pulled her away. She screamed in horror as she watched her father sink deeper beneath her as the strange force pulled her out to shore.

Once she got out, she fell flat onto the ground, and her body was quickly dried. A cry was heard close to her, and she sat up to notice that she was back to normal. She looked over to see a memory that happened when they were little, it was her and Leon in the backyard as kids and Leon crying as he scraped his knee.

She remembered it clearly, they were playing tag and laughing underneath the clear blue sky. Leon was almost close to touch her back to make her it on tag, but he tripped and scraped his knee on the pavement. She watched herself run up to Leon and try to make the pain go away by gently brushing off the dirt from his knee. That was when her father came outside and picked up Leon, it was a fond memory where it ended with the three getting ice cream and Leon was feeling better.

However that didn't happen, the dream changed that memory. As her father picked her up, he started to shout at her.

"What the hell did you do!?"

"I...I didn't-"

"Bullshit, I thought I told you to be nice to him. It's already hard enough for him and I don't need you to bully him!"

"I wasn't... I swear!"

Megan watched as she saw her father pushed her into the grass when she tried to get closer, she didn't get the chance to defend herself as her father went back inside to clean Leon's knee, leaving her alone in the backyard to hold back a sniffle.

"You just like to hurt others don't you?"

Megan shakes her head in retaliation, "That's not true... I would never..."
