Sometimes I wonder if you ever look for me, like how I look for you.
In my dream last night, you were there.
I kept my distance at first, but as I made my way to you, almost like I couldn't control that my body was slowly gliding across the room to where you sat.I break, and I turn to you, your smile hits me like a punch to the chest, I'm breathless from the pain in my chest cavity.
I let your arms engulf me as my body and soul melts into your presence.
You looked there. You felt there. But when I closed my eyes all I could feel was my arms wrapped tightly around my blankets and pillows as I felt tears stream down my face.
Caressing my face with twisted pain.
And then I woke up.
