When Sophie and Keefe got to his house he unlocked the door and led her to - what Sophie guessed was - his bedroom. She had never been inside his house, it was surprisingly well for a teenage boy living on his own. He went over to his bedside table, opened the bottom drawer and grabbed out a book, then he went to the other bedside table on the other side of the bed and grabbed out a key. He put the key in a metal latch on the book - Sophie realised the book must have been his diary - and unlocked it. He opened it halfway through and then did a little precise searching for the page he was looking for and handed it to her.

"This page in my diary is of the day we first met," Keefe told her. When she didn't read it he added, "Read it. I want you to know what your first impression on me was." She read it. It was really funny.

Dear future me,

Today I was sitting in my favourite ditching spot. After I had ditched about 3 sessions when I heard someone coming down the hallway. I put on my best smirk. When the person came around the corner I completely froze. I was speechless, you know how rare that is, this girl was SO beautiful. Luckily she didn't notice me so I had time to fix myself up, put my smirk back on, fix The Hair and get my voice back. Once I had fixed myself up enough I told her, "You must be lost." When she heard me she must have gotten a massive fright because she jumped about a metre. That was when I realised she was the new girl, Sophie Foster. She yelped and asked me, "How did you know?" So I answered with the truth. Somehow this girl, in the less than a second I had known her, had completely taken off my mask of humour, jokes and mystery. No one else has done that, EVER, in sixteen years no one has ever taken off my mask. My answer was, "Well you're either lost or you're ditching and you don't seem like the type to be ditching." She seemed shocked at how much I already knew about her but the truth was that I had seen the burn on her wrist and could tell she had just gotten it and was trying to find the healing centre by the way she was holding it. I had managed to get a little bit of my mystery back so I waited for her to say what she was doing before saying, "Come on Foster, I'll walk you to the healing centre." I already knew this girl was worth being friends with. When Elwin told me I could go I just told him that I wanted to make sure Foster was going to be okay but I already knew she was. It was only a minor burn. I had gotten much worse and always been fine. The truth was that I just wanted to stay with Sophie for as long as I could. I had only known her for a few minutes and I already had a huge crush on her. Now that I have known her for longer I realise that is not a huge crush. I know I have always said I don't believe in love at first sight but I hadn't met Foster.

XOXOX,

Past me

It was so surprisingly easy to write the page out of Keefe's diary! I thought it would be hard!
