Chapter 35: Making Memories

Over the next few days Linh got closer with everyone in the friendship group and so did Wylie. It would still be a long time until they were even close to as close as everyone else but Sophie could tell these friendships would last already. Dex was having no problems fitting in. It was like he had been there from the start. Other than Sophie he was rather good friends with Keefe. It wasn't surprising since they both loved pranking people. Dex helped Keefe with his pranks by making slightly explosive but not at all harmful chemical reactions since he was great at chemistry. He also helped with technological pranks like sending Dame Alina mystery texts and emails. They had midterms next month so Sophie had been doing everything she could to get Keefe to do his homework not on the bus everyday.

"Come on Foster! I don't need to do homework! Let's go for a walk!" Keefe whined.

"Fine. We will go for a walk and then you will do your homework." Sophie didn't want to force Keefe to much but she knew he would rather go for a walk after doing his homework which would make him do it sooner. She was right. He had all his homework done in ten minutes.

"Can we go for a walk now?" Keefe begged.

"Yes. We can go for a walk now. Just let me finish this."

"Ugh! Hurry up!" Keefe was surprisingly patient for the next five minutes while Sophie finished her homework. She only took so long because he kept distracting her. When she finally finished she and Keefe went for the walk she had promised him. It was a nice cool night - by Townsville's standards - making it the perfect time for a walk.

"What do you want to do?" Sophie asked Keefe after they had walked for a while.

"I am getting pretty hungry. Should we just get some pizza?" As he said that Sophie's tummy rumbled so she agreed since there was a pizza shop nearby and the could eat it on the Strand. They decided Sophie would get the pizza and Keefe would go down to the Strand and wait for her.

"Hope you're hungry!" Sophie said when she got back to Keefe with the pizzas.

"Oh, I'm hungry! I was about to start eating this sand." Keefe told her and she laughed. They stayed there for a few hours and had a great time.

I know this is pretty bad but I had huge writers block and less than two days to write this so this is what you get. Also, everyone say 'Happy second birthday Neville!' because today is my dog Neville's (Nevy from my username) second birthday (obviously). I might have to cheat a bit with the next chapter and get ChatGPT to write it for me because I have huge Writers block right now and I only have a day to write it. I might be able to but I will say at the bottom if I do cheat and I promise I haven't done it on any of the chapters already published
