A week after Sophie and Keefe went to the waterpark, midterms arrived. To say Keefe was complaining about it a lot was a slight understatement.

"Foster!" Keefe whined on the third day of midterms. Sophie hadn't been letting Keefe ditch any classes and he was not happy about it.

"Yes, Keefe. You do have to go to history," Sophie told Keefe.

"But Foster! It's soo booooring! I'll just fall asleep!" They had this conversation nearly every day.

"You don't have to pay attention. Just be there and stay awake," Sophie had given up on getting Keefe to pay attention during history but she had managed to get him to stay awake through the class by telling him to draw in his workbook and make it look like he was taking notes. She had even put some notes on a few of the pages so if anyone saw he could make it seem more realistic.

"Remember your drawing time. You get to draw during history!" She tried to make history seem a little more exciting than it was by exclaiming a lot. It worked. He was always tricked and he would come out of the class absolutely miserable. It made Sophie feel worse every time. She had promised herself she would let him ditch every class he wanted for a month once midterms were over to make herself feel better.

"Fiiiiiiine. I'll do it for you Foster." Keefe moaned. Sophie felt terrible.

"Two more days of this and you can ditch whatever you want for a month. I promise." Sophie hadn't told Keefe about her promise to herself because she wanted to surprise him when midterms were over but his face was the most defeated it had been all week and it made her so sad to know that it was her fault. Luckily when she said that his face was back to it's normal happy self.

"Really? You mean it?" Keefe asked. New promise. I'll join him once a week. And I will surprise him with this by finding him during his history period and appear out of nowhere Sophie thought to herself.

"Yup! I mean it! You just have to promise one class a day. One. And you get to pick what class it is." She knew he would pick art because that was the only class he never ditched. He had art every day so she didn't feel bad about giving him the rule of one class a day for the month.

"Thank you, Foster! Thank you so much! You have no idea how much I love you right now!" That made Sophie feel so much better.

I had the same problem today as yesterday but this chapter only took me half an hour to write and I have it published 2 hours early!!! And I don't think it's too bad! I think it's at least okay if not good. It's definitely not great though
