🎶 Steal My Girl — One Direction 🎶

Gavi POV

"Good morning" I said, rubbing my eyes after just having woken up and walking to the kitchen, where my girlfriend had already prepared breakfast. She was a morning person. And a night owl. Actually, she was always charged, I don't know where she gets all that energy from.
"Morning!" she said cheerily before glancing at Canal 24H on the TV that was running in the background. It was one of her habits, she was always watching the news or morning talk shows, I had gotten used to it by now.

After having breakfast together and talking about our upcoming work day, we showered (separately, unfortunately - "We're already running late" blablabla) and got going, each to their respective workplaces.
I arrived in the best mood at the Ciutat Esportiva and took extra time to sign stuff and take pictures with fans at the entrance.

"Looks like someone had a nice evening after that hot girl came to pick you up yesterday!" Lamine joked and the other boys laughed.
God, that guy was really just a kid still.
"Jealous?" I asked, feeling much older than him in that moment.
"Nah, doubt she cooks better than my mum" he replied.
"Bro, Vicky is the best cook. She even checks that she's complying with his diet" Ale inserted himself in the conversation, probably dreaming about some leftovers he had devoured after she had cooked at my place one time. I smiled, I couldn't help it - I was so lucky to have her.

We got out on the pitch and completed our morning session with Xavi thankfully being in a better mood than yesterday.
Ale, Ferran and I made our way inside to the cafeteria and stood in line to get our lunch. Pedri was already sitting at our usual table and we joined him.
"How's it going?" Ferran asked him.
"Good. Not long now. I feel ready, but they're all being cautious." he replied and gave us a small smile.
"As they should" I said.
"How was your date night?" Ale asked and they all rolled their eyes and groaned when they noticed me blushing a bit and grinning.
"It's not what you think. We played chess" I replied.
"Chess?! I'll save you two under Grandma and Grandpa in my phone book now" Pedri commented.
"Very impressive how no fan account managed to find out her identity yet, by the way" Ferran said while chewing his chicken.
"Yeah, how on earth have you guys managed that?!" Ale asked.
I shrugged. "She's private and doesn't plaster her face all over the internet. She doesn't seek unnecessary attention, which is really great because she can focus all of it on just me instead." I said and grinned like a nine-year old boy who had just gotten a star on his essay.

"You thought about the bet by the way?" Ferran asked me, changing the conversation and I nodded.
"Yup, I'm in." I said and grinned at Pedri.
"You're so going to lose. On what are we betting?" he asked me.
"If I win, I get to borrow your Porsche for a week. If I lose, you're allowed to break the news of me dating Vicky" I said, still with that grin plastered on my face. I so planned on losing, I had the perfect plan in mind.
"Whoaaaaaaa" Ale howled and Pedri grinned widely.
"Eat up. We have to be at the gym" Ferran said, rooting for the number 8 after my proposal.

It was a stupid bet, but it had come up one evening when we were playing FIFA all together. It was really just about who managed to do more chin-ups in two minutes. It was a typical macho bet, but since Vicky told me about that guy basically blackmailing her into making us public, I had had a brilliant idea of involving my friends with the excuse of having lost the bet. I was furious that her own colleague was pressuring my girlfriend because of a hit story, but I tried to hide that from the guys, who were so excited now about the prospect of playing a role in my love story with Vicky.

"One condition if I lose: you have to do it on my terms though" I told my friend, as we had both positioned ourselves in front of the bar.
"Can't wait to hear your idea" he replied and grinned.
"Ok... ready, set, go!" Ale shouted, hitting the 2-minute timer on his iPhone.
Pedri and I pulled ourselves up and I decided to go at a really fast pace the first minute so that it would seem that I was getting tired and slowing down for the rest of the time. And my friend won 33 to 29. To be honest, he would have probably won anyways, he was more of a gym bro than me since he had started going with Ferran after that disaster with Sira.
