Victoria and Pablo meet by chance when she has to interview him after the Nations League final 2023.
He's immediately infatuated by her, but due to a few years age difference, she only sees him as a younger friend.
Will he make it out of the friendz...
The day after the gala, business went on as usual for me, Barca was playing Osasuna at home. It would also be Martin's first game he would be reporting on as my intern and I met him just outside the stadium. "Here's your media accreditation, don't lose it, you will need it for every La Liga game. And this is your ticket to the media panel" I said while juggling around with the thousand passes I seemed to magically accumulate in my bag.

user1 I didn't know she smoked 😳 Replying to user1: user2 I'd be doing worse stuff if I had been through everything she did blaugranafan101 She's an amazing journalist, I really like her writing. Witty, on point and critical!
"Are you sitting in VIP?" he asked as we walked inside the building. "Uh, no, why?" I asked surprisedly. "Oh, I just... saw that you usually do, you know... with your boyfriend" he stammered and I laughed. "You shouldn't believe everything you read" I chuckled as we were setting up our stuff at our places. "But isn't that what journalism is like? You know... people believing what we write?" he asked and I laughed. "PR is everything and as soon as you will have something to say, those people will swarm you, hoping you will write whatever narrative you sell them. Luis also asks me to write nice stuff here and there" I explained. "Well, you're not doing a lot of that" he chuckled. "My ex plays for the club, of course I'm not writing only nice things" I scoffed. "For that you're actually writing way too nicely" he commented. "Look, it's all about the balance so that you don't lose your credibility. I can't go off and write only shit because then people would say that I'm biased because of my ex-relationship. If I stand above things and don't write petty stuff, people won't believe me as there clearly are negatives to write about. My advice: stay true to yourself, find your own way and style and don't let anyone influence you." I explained and he just nodded, trying to process the information that I hoped made sense.
The game started and it didn't start well, Ferran getting injured in the first minutes and Fermín substituting him. Martin was attentive to my notes, reading what I was writing from behind. I was so happy to see the new number 16 performing so well, he was really on fire tonight and after the first half ended goalless, I hoped that he would get a goal in the second, because the way he played, he deserved one.
But I was bitterly disappointed when he was subbed off in the 62nd minute... for Roque of all the players. Seeing that guy made my blood boil, I hadn't forgotten the comment he made about me back in Saudi. When he shot a goal a minute after coming on, I was sure that steam was blowing out my ears. I was making sure that I'd mention his goal in half a sentence in my match review article, while Fermin's registration and new number 16 would get a half-page feature.
Barca won with that goal and Martin and I made our way downstairs to get some interviews and comments. I sent him to interview Roque and while he thought I was being an overly nice boss, it was just to not see that gleeful face. Suddenly, I felt an arm snake around my waist and I turned around to see Luis. "Want to grab a drink? You know, to celebrate Roque's goal" he teased me, sticking out his tongue. "I'd rather drown him in my drink, but I'm in nonetheless" I replied and rolled my eyes, noticing Fermín eyeing me, better said us, with a weird look on his face.
