Pablo was waiting in his usual parking lot and my heart got all warm und fuzzy when I remembered him picking me up or driving me here a few months ago. In that moment it felt as if nothing had really changed — but it had, so much had changed. I wasn't the carefree, adventurous girl anymore, I had seen and experienced how cruel the world and humans could be and that would never be erased from my mind.
"Hi, thanks for picking me up" I said as I had sat down on the passenger seat. "Hi" he said and leaned in a bit, but didn't really know how to greet me, so he stopped his movements and I took in a sharp breath. In the end, I gave him a peck on his cheek and he shot me a cute smile when I leaned back again, but it wasn't his full signature smile. "You want to put the music?" he asked me to ease the tension. "Nah, go ahead, I want to know what you listen to nowadays" I chuckled and he looked at me with a brighter smile than before. "I've gotten a bit better at English, so it's more of that..." he said as he tapped on playlist and put it on shuffle. It started with 'The Night We Met' by Lord Huron and I leaned back, looking outside the window
